Splinterlands | Grim Reaper Weekly Battle Challenge

Welcome to another Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge 😀

This week it features the Grim Reaper Card!

Normally I wouldn't use this card due to the low health level of 3 for 6 manna. Especially when the octopider card has much better ranged stats for 8 manna.

Here is my wining Battle

Here is my line up for this battle.

Up in front we have my favorite card Goblin Mech. This is definitely one of the best tanks around particularly when levelled up.

Next we have the Grim Reaper in second place. I know this card will get defeated but I am hoping it survives the first few rounds allowing it to get enough hits in to make a difference.

Backing them up in third position we have the Sand Worm card. I love this card also. Not just coz its very 'Dune' lol. With its sneak ability it can be invaluable.

Next we have the Creeping Ooze card. Great for slowing down your opponents.

Second last we have Cursed Slimeball. This is another card I don't use very much really but can be very useful as cannon fodder to take a hit from the back in order to save the troops upfront. 😉

In last place we've got another of my favorite cards the Furious Chicken 😁 Always ready to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. Lol

So my basic strategy was that the three monsters at the back would be cannon fodder/decoys while Goblin Mech and Sand Worm would decimate the enemy with back up from the Grim Reaper.

In the end it was an easy win 😀 and the Grim Reaper survived until the third round.

Splinterlore

Grim Reapers are often spotted by the dying, or reported by those who return from near-death experiences. Their faces are not shown. The Reapers’ black cloaks are so heavy that they scrape on the ground as they approach. Each Reaper’s long bony fingers clutch the handle of a great scythe. It is said that the Reaper’s scythe is used to literally cleave a soul asunder from its body at the time of death. In battle, the scythes are generally used as an unblockable projectile.
