🦋 Green-Banded Urania 👩‍⚕️ A Moth Rescue In Suriname 🚑

Today there was no electricity, and our room was too hot to stay at home, so our family wanted to go outside somewhere. We saw beautiful butterflies flying around our so much.

I look at them but I can’t take picture of them. After I feeling hungry then I want to buy roti for eat because we near the store now.

When I walked I saw dead moth so many near the street, I saw it the first time I think it’s the plastic of candy but when I look at it again it’s a moth. I think maybe they are flying and hit the car then they down and die.

I saw another one not yet die but it can’t fly. I think if I not help it maybe it can die because have so much cars over there. I got it in my house, I think do like this be careful about it.

I touch it very slow and put it in paper and take it in to the tree near my house. It can’t fly but it can walk.

I never saw the moth like this before, its body so beautiful color. Behind it’s green and back with a little blue and the white color also.

And front it's blue with white and black color also. It has a beautiful color I love it so much.

They are so beautiful, I think it’s butterfly the first time, and I asked my husband, he thinks the same me also.

But when I have WiFi I learn about them, they are the moths but they are like to fly at the day like the butterflies also. I saw these moths fly very fast in the graveyard.

Their name is green-banded urania, their baby eat only leaves from one tree if not have them, not eat.

I looked at all its body I not saw what happens with it, but I don't know why it can’t fly. It walk so fast, it’s walking down and go up in the tree.

I take care it maybe 5 hours but it’s still can’t fly. My daughter @kidsisters said maybe it’s have a baby then it can not fly haha. I hope it can fly soon.
