Mud In The Field

avatar

Two weeks ago, I posted a post about drought in my field. Now I am continuing this post but the situation is completely different.

Five days ago, it (finally) started raining heavily. For two days it rained like from a cupboard. And if before the field was completely dry, now there is mud. Which, thank God, is good. Crops will continue to grow.
And, of course, finished at our table :)

Well, below is a photo of what the field was like two weeks ago ... dry... :)

Now it's full of weeds. The weeds are growing faster than anything we have planted.

The crop is also going but slowly. These are courgettes (zucchinis). Last year at the same time we were already harvesting them.

Even the potatoes have started to flower.

The tomato is still green and just a few. I hope it will recover this week.

A few chilies have woken up too.

The kale is progressing well.

Onions also survived the drought.

The most so far, however, is young peas.

According to the weather forecast, we expect a heatwave (over 35 degrees Celsius) again in the coming days.
