Extreme Heat at 47 Degrees here in the UAE! Garden Update - June 5, 2021

I didn't realize that I hadn't been here in a long time. I have been busy for almost 1 week because of a problem at home in the Philippines. But here I am for updating my mini garden.

It's so hot here in Abu Dhabi that it reaches 47 Degree Celcius! So if you notice that the leaves of my plant are faded and the others are yellow. My solution is to water them with cold water at night. In the morning, the normal water temperature is enough. Good and I bought a water hose and made my watering easier!

My chili plants were not affected by the extreme heat because they can handle the extreme heat, all they need is a lot of water. But I really wonder how they can cope with the extreme heat of the weather? I have no idea.

Check out the small portion of my papaya and squash plant. Too much toast in the superheat because the other side is focused on the sun and there is no obscure even wall.

003.jpg

Even my Bitter Gourd plant is not safe in extreme heat! The fruits all withered and rotted in the heat of the weather, but the weeds were useful. Good and new branches are growing below the body of the Bitter Gourd.

Now, they are all fine as long as I keep watering them every day. Watering my plants is often overflowing because I left it sometimes with over 2 minutes of using the water hose.

I haven’t shown my new Melon and Ube plant yet. Maybe in the next few days, I'll show you all with my pumpkin plant what it looks like now.

The extreme heat added to the lack of water can be terrible for the plants, fortunately you have been very aware of their watering, that is important. I think it would be advisable to additionally put a drip system with some bottles, which gives them some humidity throughout the day, so that they have a little water between morning and night. Beautiful your garden. Greetings.

Saludos.

I don't even want to imagine the extreme heat there. Here in my city it's hot, but it doesn't reach those extreme degrees. I love the update you share with us about your garden, it is very beautiful, I think it is not the first time I have told you that. Thank you once again for sharing it. Blessings!

Beautiful to see how the papaya and peppers are fighting through that intense heat. Wow, here we complain with 37 degrees Celsius, which is nothing compared to that 47.
Here we should really count our blessings with the tropical weather of ours 😅.

Take care and nice to see how you're taking care of your garden, despite the heat.
