Damn I'm always concerned about those things..always asking around if I can use this and that! And then I mostly don't add the source on my posts lol but then again I mostly create my own so I tend thinking that I don't need to add that info..

I don't read magazines normally but for drama and gossip there's always "Facebook Magazine" ahaha

Thanks for the video and motivate me to be more creative and original :)

Being initially concerned will lead to greater diligence. do not always stay concerned though :) because due diligence will pay off

It looks that we have a kind of collective mind here in the CTP Swarm... I have just read a fantastic blog post about original content by @robwillmann, and now I had a pleasure to listen to your chatter about a similar topic...

I would just add one thing... I'm here on the Hive blockchain about a year and a half and I have noticed that original content and the effort that someone does in content creation is paying off... Maybe not immediately, but that's normal... After some time, people DO notice original content and appreciate it...

And about today's 3 things... I don't read magazines, but I do check some authors daily on the Hive and Internet in general...

So... 3 "magazines": Russell's Chatter, Pix Vlogs, The Dollar Vigilante (YT)... and a couple of others... :)

Yes I have seen a lot of original content and it is very gratifying to see and read. I think on the whole most follow the rule to just use ideas to bounce off and express their own.

Wow, I am sorry you went through that whole mess with the fine. At least you were able to talk down the amount considering your heart was in the right place. Yes, that is why I put credits in my video descriptions with the music & other elements I use to make my content. I try to practice the Golden rule when it comes to using other's content - treat it as I would wanted mine to be treated. If someone used my daily inspirational posts (that are my original work), I would want them to at least acknowledge the credit. So, it makes a lot of sense.

As far as magazines, I don't read them much. Never really been into them during my adulthood. But I do enjoy different blogs and content creators on the Interweb. I enjoy some YT content creators that have a great impact on me spiritual-wise: Aaron Doughty, Victor Oddo, Leeor Alexander & Ralph Smart 💚

The fine was over ten years ago, so been and gone, but it did make me more vigilant in my choices

Cycle World Since 1968.
Rider I have a really good friend that's a writer there
Motorcyclist

Do you detect a trend? :)

I used to subscribe to a lot more magazines. But the internet has allowed me to pick up articles I am interested in without the cost...

Thanks for the words on plagiarism. There are sites where you can check your words to see how original the article is. For free! Google is your friend here.

I have a really handy dandy tool that I use with photographs that I don't actually take myself. It scripts source below the image and is a clickable link. All I have to do is copy paste the relevant page that includes the photo and the photographer and the relevant license.

Source

Simply copy paste this on the line below the photo. Copy paste the URL for the page that you got the photo from between the parenthesis. ( ) Done deal.

There are some great tools available. We recommend students use a platform called Turn It In, in fact it is now a criteria for any essay submission from university students and high schools are starting to require it as well.

But yes there are many platforms out there that will let you know if you have copied or not.

You should see the room of Australian Motorcycle Magazines I have. lol

My brother was into Easy Rider for quite a while , way back when, when High Times was a thing as well :)
