Train Your Consistency

avatar

It was a bit hard day today, because of the mix of the reason, but I will not go into every single one... Let's say that one of the reasons was that I got into that "author crisis" where I didn't have a topic for my vlog... I didn't record a video for 2-3 days, and when you delay things, they just got worse as time is passing by...

Luckily, I was proactive earlier, and I have recorded more videos for days like I had yesterday and the day before... Days when I'm not in the "creative mood", or the weather is ugly, so I can't record, or something else... All these reasons are some great excuses for NOT create and don't take an action...

I was trying an idea in my usual way by reading others' posts here on the chain, and usually, that works, but it didn't today... Then, I have turned in my own direction and saw that I'm currently in round 600 of my regular Splinterlands giveaway that I do on my second (actually first) account here on Hive... If you play SL and would like to win free card(s), check the giveaways at account @cryptofiloz...

Also, @pixiepost shared an awesome video about The Two Day Rule which gave me the idea to record this video about the importance of consistency...

Check out the video and see how it changed my life, and how it can change yours, too...

Thank you so much for the mention & I am delighted that video helped inspire you. :)

As you know, I completely understand where you're coming from - it is easy for me to be consistent in some things but not so much in others. It takes discipline & sometimes even THAT doesn't always work for me. So, that is why I started adapting the 2 Day Rule. I don't do it exactly as he does, but tweaked it in my own way....

With HIVE, showing up every day is one of the most important things to help me keep consistent. So, I focus on that. I post an inspirational post every morning, regardless, as well as curate on at least 5-10 posts a day. The videos are now 2-3 times a week instead of every day. This allows my creative flow to come easier to me & I am more likely to stick with things.

We all have something that works for us but it should be something that helps us keep consistent while we allow change & growth in the process as well....in both of our experiences, we have grown a lot & come far...and in turn, we will continue to do so...

Loved this video & it was totally relatable for me as I am sure it will be for others. I may elaborate on this rule in a future video so thank you for continuing to inspire me! :) 💚

Thank you for your kind words, Jenn!

And I agree that one rule is suitable for someone, but it doesn't work for another person... We are different and that is completely normal...

Creativity isn't a characteristic of the machine, and it doesn't come in a certain hour, or day, so your idea of giving some time is a good one... The importance of showing up doesn't mean only creating posts... We can do a lot by commenting and curating other posts...

And consistency doesn't mean to do something daily, hourly... It means keep doing it... :)

Man you are an example for consistency. I can't believe that you have made 600 give away posts for splinterlands!!! Congrats on that.

Well, I couldn't believe it either! A few days ago, when I was creating the 5xx round of the contest, I had to double check if it is really 500 and something... that I didn't changed the first number by mistake... lol...

Thanks, man...

Great video Zoltan, and interesting to hear about you and the gym, and that you gained weight by it, you should have added more healthy food too, but great consistency with your card giveaways, and big congrats to 600 days, and yes consistency is how we accomplish really great things over time, without it we lose momentum all the time, thanks for sharing and stay awesome.

Thank you for the comment, Erik... And, I agree that I should change my diet and that is next on my list... :) Regarding the gym, I have done more in 3 months than in my whole life... I have to embrace it, and move to change my eating habits... lol...
