Remember Your List Subscribers are People -- Focus on Building Relationships

One of my new list subscribers replied to my welcome email to tell me about his less than happy experiences trying to build a business online and the rough times he has been experiencing. I replied to him and briefly shared some of my less than successful past experiences. And then I was trying to figure out what offer I should send along in that email as well. Until I remembered that it wouldn't be appropriate at this time to throw an offer at him. My gut served me well again because I knew deep down that he wasn't asking what program he should join next. And when I asked @jongolson he confirmed it. :-) Build the relationships first! These are people on your list not just names or email addresses. Be a good human and show them you care.

Thanks, @fiberfrau! There are times when I avoid engaging on the other platforms because it is taken as an invitation to descend upon me with a sales pitch. I don't want to do that to people. Have a great day! 😀

anytime a subscriber emails you back is a great thing.
it is nice you can empathize with them.
solid step to relating, you can navigate it for future emails.

I like when list owners asks questions our ask for a response instead of just sending the daily jvzoo product from a copy & paste email. Give it a try.

Hello, @andrewn! Yes, it is a great opportunity to get to know them and then get to know how to help them solve their problems. I have been unsubscribing to alot of lists that just send out promo emails. It is a never ending task though. Have a great day!😀
