RE: It's Too Good To Be True

My sister came to me with the scam where a Nigerian Prince has been left an inheritance of $10 million dollars. Of course, in order to receive this money, he needed to pay a "processing fee" of $1500. If she would kindly wire him the money, he would share $1 million dollars with her.

I had to explain that this scam was almost as old as the internet itself and not to fall for it. But when I tell her to buy some Bitcoin, she says she doesn't trust it. So, we can all do our part, but some people have to learn on their own.

Thank goodness your sister at least came to you before just falling for that scam!

Even though she doesn't trust Bitcoin, at least you saved her from losing $1500.

And I believe once you have fallen for one of these scams, they often target you with other scams as well!

So, we can all do our part, but some people have to learn on their own.

That is so true! What just blows my mind is how many times some people need to get ripped off and robbed before they actually learn! Wow, what an expensive way of learning?

Thanks for your comment and for sharing the experience you had with your sister and the Nigerian prince. I appreciate it.

I hope your sister has decided to listen to you regarding Bitcoin in the meantime...:)
