It's Hump Day!

Middle of the work week...How's your week been so far?

Here's a fun question...

What's the first thing you do when you start work?

.
What are you checking? What are you working on....As soon as you get behind your computer and have the coffee ready!

First! The first thing I do when I start my work is ... check my inbox.

But what I really should do first is ... write down 3 things I want to accomplish today.

Guilty!

I usually check my 3 things I wrote down from the night before...But I usually end up in my inbox LOL

It's so hard to resist the inbox!

Unfortunately the Inbox is a necessary evil. We must tend to it because there could be urgent news like oops you need to pay ListNerds (lol) or Your sister sending you family updates, and sometimes it can eat up time Like Pac-Man gobbling up those pellets.

Very true, I normally do it the night before. Nothing breeds success like having a daily plan :-)

What I do...And what I should be doing are 2 different things LOL

So the night before, I usually write down the 3 things I want to accomplish the next day.

And the goal is to work on the first one as soon as I get up.

But what ends up happening....Is ending up in my inbox or on social media LOL

Self-discipline is a must for me :)

I used to pin my goals next to my bed so it was the first thing I see in the morning. There are so many things vying for attention, just needed a daily reminder of what to focus on.

Tick Journaling has really helped me in being a more organized professional, but there are still things that spill over to the next day. As I see it we are all gardeners and our businesses are the gardens we tend. It takes time and diligence :-)

What is Tick Journaling?

Funny that I Presearch it to give you a proper answer and look what was one of the results:

Now I finally understand why I want to check and respond to my articles' received comments daily if not twice daily. Thank you 😀

I first started using tick journaling back in 1989, because that is the way the military taught us to handle our tasks. It was not called tick journaling back then. In fact we had multiple log books we found that it simplified things by making a list with times and dates tasks and the deadline with a box to check or X, and then a line for our signature since more than one person handled the log books.
As a civilian I do it on a calendar so for example today in my calendar is a page broken down into hours with my tasks that absolutely need to be done first occupying the first hours of my day and a box for me to tick when I have completed the task.

Another good reason to have a journal.
To stay on task

That is why I do my best to avoid social media, and my inbox until the afternoon but then I run into the problem that I am not engaging enough on social media and sometimes I have people ask hey did you get that email, and to my embarrassment it has been 3 days since I checked my inbox oops :-)

Hmm I need to get a routine right now I open up email
check Hive messages and start replying to comments on Hive.
Send out promotions on mailers for my business

I think having three things the night before is a great way to be focused

Checking my Emails should probably be first but is usually last.
I do like checking my lists also to see if there are nes signups

We are both resellers with similar morning routines, although I do not check my emails until all packages are ready for pickup. I also spend a good bulk of my day taking photographs and listing products. I am almost finished with the HIVE Guide an amazing resource :-)

I have been checking this chat first thing then my inbox then Telegram.
I have found if I am not careful I can stay in my social groups commenting and upvoting too much.
It can be distracting from the other important things if I don't watch it.
My top priority has been working on my campaigns and writing emails

I have been experimenting with timers. When I click on FB I will set a 15 minute timer, then when the alarm sounds I know it is time to move on. I have not hit upon the magic formula yet but when I do I will share :-)

0

avatar

First thing I do...
-Check inbox for new time critical items that need to be addressed ASAP and work them
-second is to do daily tasks that are part of my goals. If you miss a daily task you can never make it up
-third is to see if there are any pending deadlines that need to be worked on. I find if I work a little each day these are easier to meet

"If you miss a daily task you can never make it up" Bravo!! When I read that sentence I almost stood up and started clapping. There is no such thing as make it up. If you miss a 1:00pm opportunity, it is gone forever unless you have a time machine. The same goes for missing a workout or missing sleep. You can never truly "make it up" This is a huge nugget that should inspire urgency in all of us :-)

Hello everyone and welcome to another awesome Chat!
Yesterday's chat was a bit down compared to other chats!

If you missed it by any chance, click here to get back to yesterday's chat and answer the question of the day:
CTP Chat May 18th

I personally am in some kind of funk, but maybe because I'm a bit sick and more tired than normal!
Even so, I try my best to be around :)

Let's check yesterday's stats:

40 Comments and 137.32 CTP Tokens were distributed

It was a bit less but I added a few and I think it increased a bit by now because I shared the chat link again on today's chat to bring more awareness.
I think I will do that for now on along with the stats and everything.

I have a question.
I am finding that I really need to stay on top of my emails in my campaigns.
What is your strategy?
Do you write an email every day?
How many emails do you put in your campaigns?
I have Written about 10 mails in my new campaigns.
I am wondering do I start over with the same focus or move on to promoting different programs?
I am thinking of expounding deeper on each topic.
I am going to go through the email modules again at Click Track Profit but I thought some feedback would be helpful.

I have a 30 day plan for my campaigns, so I'll write emails that stretch over a calendar month.

And I'll write between 10-15 emails for that month, spread them out.

As for broadcasting emails...I'll do multiple a week, maybe 2-3...If there is a product launch or something we are promoting, I'll go each day of the week.

Speaking as a successful email marketer: Sorry I am not there yet. Speaking as a marketing email reader: Nothing makes me unsubscribe faster than a marketer giving me a series of 10, 15, 20 emails which might have some info but are mostly join this buy that, and they reset, so I start with email 1 again entitled get to know me or something similar. It is very unprofessional. It gives the feeling that the person is either new to this and thinks it is a set it and forget it thing or they have just checked out and are no longer very active. Either way I unsubscribe :-)

I think I feel the same way. I will try to stick with the 80/20 approach.

0

It is a really great approach, as it forces me to think about what I can do for the community ie how will my blog post help, how will my video help, what questions can I answer for people, and before you know it people will want more of what you are offering 😀

I hired Jon to write emails for one of my lists and right now the other one needs attention so I am considering hiring him to write emails for that list too. I send out the replays of Crypto Monday and Thursday Night Live and I am going to start sending out the replays of Crypto Maniacs as well. Then I know they're at least getting something a couple times a week. Writing is a challenge for me.

I've been repurposing some of my blog posts and turn them into emails and add them into automation.
Have some broadcasts saved that might be good to add into automation as well, just need to stretch my time lol
My goal is to have 100 emails in automation on my main campaign 🤞

Hey guys! Long time follower, first time poster hehehe

Well, I'm kinda the guy that people look up to in my team when it comes to productivity and organization, so I have a few rituals that I try to always stick to, because I have to lead by example.

I have two lists and a process that's inspired by agile project management (I'm a project manager btw).

So, I have a master list, which is similar to a product backlog, where I write down absolutely everything that I must do, no matter how big or small. And then I have my daily to-do list, which is like a sprint backlog. Things I must accomplish that day.

Every night I move things from my master list to my to-do list and I create a schedule with 30 minutes blocks for my whole day so, first thing in the morning I check my email, messages and then I just try to go trough the list as scheduled.

Things don't always go as planned, of course, but I believe this method really helps me!

I love your opening Classic!! We all have different names for our lists, but it remains true if you want to be productive you need to get organized and lists are great for that.

As soon as I turn off the alarm and gently kick my lazy little monkey that always ends up the night in my bed 🤣, I check Hive notifications through Ecency and Telegram! And emails if I have time while David is eating breakfast.
Then after getting David in kindergarten and start my morning walk, I try to use this time with myself and plan my day or just get some motivation on a podcast.

I need more self-discipline lolol
But I sometimes get things done 😁

Read a few of the other answers and for the most part it's the same... Especially for me, the first that I do is opening up my inbox and checking which emails (for an hour to 1,5 hours) are urgent and need direct attention.

After emails picking up tasks that I've planned for the day.

I think that really speaks to our success as a group. We share similar success because we exhibit similar successful daily habits :-)

Haha I also think that that's kind of how communities work: sharing same goal(s), values, similarities, etc. And of course not to forget the support factor, with helping one another reach our goals.

I start with my daily routine that doesn't require thinking lol. I check a certain number of pages, update market orders for ctpsb, then distribute tokens for Liotes, pay dividends and then I start to use my brain lol.

First Thing In The Morning

It is all about getting those orders packed so I print off the orders that came in overnight from my sales channels making sure to check for customer questions. Then it is all about picking and packing orders.

Reselling Equals Liquid Capital

As a regular guy reselling makes up the majority of my businesses income. I can see how with daily care and maintenance a more passive income can be developed with Evergreen Affiliate Marketing & earning crypto currency by engaging on the HIVE platform, and then by staking those tokens.

0

avatar

What you're doing with the reselling is very hands on all the time Chris! I probably have hundreds of dollars worth of stuff in the garage I could sell online before I buy anything else but I wasn't very motivated to do that. I am still not sure I am motivated to do that. It was up in the apartment for a long time with all the packing materials too and I finally moved it down to the garage and it will probably end up either in storage or the resale shop for people like you and Rob to buy and resell it.

0

avatar

To be very honest I did not think it was a sustainable model until I started pricing what I had, then after watching some youtube videos I went to a thrift store and actually found 10 items, that had a possible $10 profit margin. That motivated me. Just like when I posted my first article in CTPTalk and received almost 22 CTP tokens. Yes it is hands on but nothing like owning a physical store.
Funny thing is I am trying to sell you on reselling when the fact remains with out people like you that just wants it gone I could not be a reseller lol 😂

0
0
0.000
avatar

That's pretty funny, Chris! We are providing people like you with stuff to resell. And I do understand that it can be profitable. But I literally want to do my business completely at home. Which means not schlepping to resale shops to poke around. Not really my thing. Which is why I am very interested in drop shipping. I know that it can be harder in some ways but to me not as hard as driving around and going to rummage sales and resale shops. 😀

Dropshipping is not in my business model so I can't say a lot except for the following: there are a lot of people having great success with dropshipping. It is very hard to do on eBay however because most customers want their product asap, and dropshipping normally ads about 10 days to delivery schedule. There is a person on Youtube called Wholesale Ted, she talks a lot about success with dropshipping 😀

I understand that, Chris! I am a spoiled rotten Amazon Prime Shopper so I know about the whole instant or almost instant gratification of having your item in 2 days or less. LOL! I just ordered a toy for my great nephew's birthday that is coming up at the end of this next week. With Amazon prime it will be delivered to their house tomorrow. SCORE! I am subscribed to Wholesale Ted's channel! She has some pretty cool and interesting videos. Thanks for the tip! Great minds! Enjoy your Sunday! 😀

What's the first thing you do when you start work?

I make a "To Do" list first and start working on the items one by one.

Having a clear set of goals to achieve by EOD helps me to focus a little better!

And when you cut those items one by one - DOPAMINE!

Hello my wonderful peeps. I would lie to you if I have a concrete process to start the day, but for my employers I have to look at my emails first; so I kind of do that with my own online biz journey first (because I have the phone nearby and don't get online until a few hours later). I look to see did I get at least one sign up, downline member or follower. If I did, that gets me rocking and rolling; because that's all I really need to put a pep in my step, although I had just done a HIIT session earlier that morning - enough pep in my step from that lol.

Ok Team. @jongolson suggested I posted the LCP I'm hoping to get up and running in the next few days. I want to increase my branding but as a CTP member. Up to this point, it's been mostly giving away free advertising which works very well. I still am going to include that in my promotions.

Anyway, these are just early stage things that I used CANVA and linked to my hosting account.

LINK TO VIDEO
https://affiliatemarketingparadox.com/ctp/video05192021.mp4

I'm hoping to have the splash lead to a lead capture page with that video. Obviously, I have to major tweak some stuff; but wanted you guys to see where I'm heading with it and if you guys have any tips.

Remember it's not cohesive at the moment and still a disjointed message, but the splash of course would lead to the LCP that will include to the video. Just hoping I'm heading in the right direction or just scrap it?

That video would have me signing up in a heart beat. Great stuff bro. Seriously top shelf stuff !

The video is so good that I would sing up again 🤣
So you will be split testing the splash with video and just the video LCP?
Maybe another one with that splash turned into an LCP?
Some people still grunt about videos unfortunately and that splash could work as well as an LCP just by taking off that click here button and add the form below.
I love either though!
