No, it's not my date to go out with someone for lunch or to the movies. It's my favorite quote or phrase from some famous author or character in history, whether he or she is alive or not.

It was really hard for me to choose just one because I like so many of them and some of those I use as my daily mantra to keep going during emotional downturns coming from the common problems we have as people living in countries like the one I live in, but I decided to choose one person and that person has three phrases that changed my way of seeing life in a certain way, that person is Margaret Thatcher.

The first quote is:

"Socialism fails when it runs out of money... from others"

In the midst of the social and economic debacle that my country is going through, looking for allies in the past or in the present that make you feel that you are not wrong in your thinking is very important to keep your sanity in the midst of the scenarios that are presented in this country.

The second appointment is:

"No one would remember the Good Samaritan if he had only good intentions. He also had money".

And it is certainly so, we live in a world in which most people are stigmatized by the amount of numbers in their bank accounts, a situation that has made me rethink my friendships, my family connections, on several occasions. I prefer to have few friends and visit few disinterested family than to have a lot of attention to what comes out of my pocket for them.

The last but not least is the following quote:

"If you want something said, say it to a man; if you want something done, say it to a woman".

This is a phrase that for me personally is very empowering but never with the eagerness to diminish men and their abilities, but I feel the power of this phrase when I know that I am as capable as anyone of any gender to do whatever I am willing to do but yes, there was an opportunity when I started in college, that was when I first heard this phrase, in which I felt I needed to use it a lot because in the technological world, even today, women do not have as much of a voice as men and we are as capable, just like Margaret in her time who was the first woman Prime Minister of England, of achieving the same and even more.
