Artistic Make up: Princess Mononoke- Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli entre su gran gama de historias mágicas tiene a la Princesa Mononoke, la cual tomé como inspiración para el maquillaje a continuación. Mononoke, se traduce como espíritus del bosque lo que señala a la chica del maquillaje como la princesa de los espíritus del bosque. La princesa es criada con los lobos del bosque, con quienes se encargaba de resguardar sus tierras de los humanos.
Studio Ghibli among its wide range of magical stories has Princess Mononoke, which I took as inspiration for the makeup below. Mononoke, translates as forest spirits which points to the girl in the makeup as the princess of the forest spirits. The princess is raised with the wolves of the forest, with whom she was in charge of guarding their land from humans.
Proceso | Process
Se inicia aplicando base de maquillaje para lograr una piel de color uniforme.
Start by applying foundation and seal with pressed powder to achieve a uniform skin color.
Con lápiz delineador demarqué tres triángulos con punta hacia abajo, ubicados uno grande en cada mejilla y otro más pequeño en la frente, estos son maquillados con sombra roja.
With eyeliner pencil I outlined three triangles pointed downward, placed one large one on each cheek and a smaller one on the forehead, these are made up with red shadow.
Luego con sombra roja marqué tres manchas que son pitandas con roja y labial bálsamo rojo, para representar manchas de sangre que recibe al tratar de salvar a la jefa Loba después de ser herida. Lo que la hace una vengadora.
Then with red shadow I marked three spots that are pitandas with red and red balm lipstick, to represent blood stains that she gets when trying to save the boss lady Loba after being wounded. Which makes her an avenger.
Para complementar el diseño maquillé las cejas, apliqué sombra color crema en los parador y un delineado fino en el parpado superior. Por otra parte, como no poseía un collar de colmillos decidí pintarlo dibujando tres triángulos en forma de colmillos, y darle color aplicando sombra marfil, y con sombra marrón difuminada le di profundidad con sombras y luz aplicado color blanca. Y utilicé una tela tipo piel peluda, para representar el camuflaje entre lobos y así complementar el outfit.
To complement the design I made up the eyebrows, applied cream shadow on the eyelids and a thin eyeliner on the upper eyelid. On the other hand, as I didn't have a fang necklace I decided to paint it by drawing three triangles in the shape of fangs, and give it color by applying ivory shadow, and with brown shadow blurred I gave it depth with shadows and light applied white color. And I used a furry fur type fabric, to represent the camouflage between wolves and thus complement the outfit.

Realizar este maquillaje me gustó mucho porque es sobre un personaje de mucho carácter, que está dispuesta a todo por salvaguardar la vida en el bosque. La princesa Mononoke es símbolo de una mujer aguerrida.
I really liked doing this make-up because it is about a character with a lot of character, who is willing to do anything to safeguard life in the forest. Princess Mononoke is a symbol of a strong woman.
