Swansea City to tackle week-long social media boycott abuse

All of Swansea City's Players, including first-team, academy sides and women's team, staff and the club's official accounts will stop posting posting messages on all social media platforms 17:00 BST on the 8th April 2021.

This come as 3 of there players Jamal Lowe, Ben Cabango and Yan Dhanda who have been racially abused on social media for a few months.

in a statement made by Swansea City captain Matt Grimes he has stated that 'We hope that this stance across the club will be supported by everyone.

'As a close and diverse group of players, this is something we all feel extremely passionate about'

"I find it staggering that we are still talking about racism and abuse of this kind.

"We are acutely aware of the pressures within football at this level, but it shouldn't be underestimated as to how such levels of abuse can affect someone."

And I think in my opinion that Swansea FC and anyone who is associated with the club as making a strong stand against this racism which is spiralling out of control.

And if anyone who has racialy abuse a player on any social media platform,

"YOU are NOT a FAN of football but instead you are nothing but a LOW LIFE".

NO ROOM FOR RACISM
