Win against Leicester. Liverpool set two records at once

Liverpool's two internal records were broken when they beat Leicester City 3-0 in the Premier League at Anfield.

The first record is the success of Juergen Klopp's squad incised the longest non-existent trend at Anfield in Premier League matches to 64 consecutive games. Previously, the Liverpool squad had the record in the era of February 1978 s.d. December 1980, which was coincidentally stopped by Leicester.

The record is even more meaningful, considering that Liverpool at the start of the match paid tribute to their late legendary goalkeeper, Ray Clemence, who died last week aged 72. Clemence, Liverpool's iconic manager Bill Shankly's goalkeeper, brought the Red Merseyside squad to five Premier League titles, one FA Cup trophy, one English League Cup trophy, two UEFA Cup trophies and three Champions League trophies.

At the level of the Premier League, Liverpool is still far from the home record that Chelsea Jose Mourinho era still has on February 21, 2004 s.d. 26 October 2008.

The second record concerns Liverpool's new star, Diogo Jota, by becoming the first player to score a goal for Liverpool in his first four Premier League home games. Jota scored Liverpool's second goal of the match against Leicester, with a sweet header finishing Andy Robertson's mature cross in the 41st minute.

Apart from that, the result against Leicester was also Liverpool's first clean-cut score at Anfield since July. An appropriate tribute from Liverpool, especially Alisson Becker who underwent a warm-up session in the goalkeeper jersey of the Clemence era.

Liverpool have now moved up to second in the table, equaling Tottenham Hotspur's 20-point collection but losing on overall goal difference.
