Finally! I get a result in my favour and you lot just go home with the appearance fees! I like the Spanish League as my shrewd move to go on a League world tour paid dividends on the very first day!

I, and no one else was expecting such a comprehensive victory by Athletic Bilboa especially after Getafe opened the scoring after just one minute!
So where to today? I'm thinking a quick hop across the border to Portugal and the Primeira Liga and the game between Boavista and Sporting CP.

Having just looked at the table, it seems the home team is rooted to the bottom spot and Sporting are sat proudly at the head.
The game is not, however, a foregone conclusion. Sporting have a shallow 1 point advantage and this game in hand over the chasing pack would see them move 4 points clear. A win for Boavista would lift them almost out of the relegation zone. The result is going to come down to who can dig deepest to grind out a result.
Boavista's woes seem to revolve around their terrible defensive capabilities. This might actually be helped by the suspension of two of their terrible centrebacks, but they do have the quality to compete at the highest level which a 3-0 win over Benefica proved earlier in the season. tonight though....

The Small Print

In the first goalscorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll-over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goalscorer or correct score, the prize is shared and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 45 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all payouts will never exceed 50% of post payout. Other bonuses paid out at my discretion.
