Growing up as a young kid in Nigeria, I was fortunate enough to be exposed to football at an early age. My dad was not a football fan neither was he a fan of any sport. The only thing he does watch the most was wrestling and Watches them on rare occasions. He was more of a business type of person and he focuses on business and political issues/news.

I could remember my love for football making me skip school. I was still in secondary school then and I will also try influencing some of my classmates to do the same. It was a dangerous act, one which put us in trouble on numerous occasions. My love for football also spreads to anything related to football. The football games and matches are watched I was actively engaged in. When it's time for football arguments, except me to be the ring leader as I will be shouting on top of my voice just to get my voice heard.

My love for football while younger drove me to do a lot of crazy things I won't attempt doing as an adult. I could remember coming home at night just because of a football match. My parents will by then be searching around for me as they will ponder on why I haven't come home by that time. During my early days, owning a decoder was quite expensive and only those rich could accord the luxury of installing one at home. Unfortunately, I wasn't that lucky.

My love for football then made me undecided on which position to play and occupy on the pitch. I just want to kick the ball around with no hassle. My love for football then was unequaled and on matched. No distractions or whatsoever, just speak the football language and will be friends.

It wasn't all fun and rosy during my younger days as the injuries gotten from football was too much to count. I had so many injuries but it was more of a cut on my toes. The worst injury I ever had while playing football saw my toes nails leaving my toes. It hurts like hell and I was in discomfort all through that period. Although a new nail grew, it took a lot of time to come out and when it did, it wasn't as hard as the previous one.

Even during those periods, moving around was hard work and the pain was indescribable. Wearing a shoe to school was an impossible task and it wasn't long before I stayed out of school to make the leg healing process much faster. Even after all this, I still resumed playing football but this time, I occupied the goalkeeper position. I couldn't kick the ball much with my leg because I still experience a little discomfort in the foot once in while.

It was during the injury time that I fell in love with football games. Then, the game available was PS 1. PS 5 was still more than 15 years into creation as the idea has not even birth yet. I played PS 1 with joy during this period and I am still glad I got to play it. This was my learning curve into the PlayStation game world. When PS 2 was later released two years later. It becomes the real deal then. while it was more expensive than pS 1, it was of more quality than the former.

Football and everything around it have always been fun for me and I enjoy every bit of it as a kid. I could remember my first heartbreak. Watching Barcelona beat Arsenal in the champions league final. Although I was a Chelsea fan, I wanted the gunners to win due to my love for Henry then. This is little of my childhood memories and it's certain that more exists, but for now, this is what I could come up with
