I powered down my Steem which I wasn't going to do initially, mainly because I see almost everyone powering down, which means that a lot will be dumped on the market and the price will probably follow, if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen... but imo it's better to store the value in BTC for the moment, if it ends up not happening I can always buy back or even earn that STEEM back.
It is a good option to keep a part of the value in BTC. I will take a risk and keep my Steem and Hive and don't start a power down.
