Pumpkin Pie in July
Today's Prompt: pumpkin
It was half time at the game and a quick trip into the kitchen was filled with the smell of dinner but I could especially smell the pumpkin pie baking. It was one of my favorites.
It won't be long before dinner was ready. It was a full fledged Thanksging dinner. None of us cared that it was July. It was my mother's favorite holiday and the doctors said she wouldn't make it to November.
We were doing everything we could think of to make her time left as enjoyable as possible. We even have Christmas scheduled for next month. Hopefully, we can

I am confused though. This freewrite prompt says it is Monday's but I swore I did Monday's yesterday.

I am having fun with it and I believe in the long run it has to help my writing. But now, I have to learn how to type to get more done in 5 minutes. Thanks for the comment.

It is based on a true story that happened to a friend of mine. It definitely made the end of his mother's life easier. Thanks for your comment.
