Her (Sun)Burnt Skin

freewrite Wednesday prompt

What came to my mind when I saw today's prompt? I thought of that time when I had a little too much fun under the sun. It was when we visited the northernmost inhabited island in the Philippines, Itbayat Island. When I saw the sight right in front of me, I forgot all worries and concern for being out in the blazing hot sun. It later on resulted to my sunburnt skin.

It is no fun 'cause my skin has not recovered from that day. But it was so worth it as the view really took my breath away. I do not for one moment regret the outcome of it. But I do know I need to be careful next time around. Being out in the sun too long is not good for our skin. I would need to take cover once in a while. I sure learned my lesson this time. Here's to more adventure soon...
