Hello my humans. As some of you know, I was (am) in love with a particular mobile app that posts to my blog. That being -
#dapplr. It is currently for sale and I may have to sell some things and get it if no big whales decide to come and swoop it up. Will need to hire a dev team too, and will most likely put in a proposal to help with that asking for volunteers/service professionals and such. So until then, I have decided to try out
#Ecency.
There are three primary things I would use it for; posting my pictures and short blips to share the moments with everyone, commenting on others' posts on the go, and voting on those I want to reward for their efforts. Sadly to say, I couldn't perform any of these actions and have taken some screenshots you can see below that refer to the errors I was given on the Android mobile version I downloaded from the Google Playstore. It would not let me log in with my posting key and gave me a 'Status code 504 error' so I logged in with Hivesigner using my active key, and here's what I got:

Maybe I did it wrong, but I tapped the little landscape icon on the bottom, went to my gallery, tapped my desired photo and then nothing happened. That is, until two minutes later when this popped on my screen. | So, I figured I'd just go ahead and post my short review from the app itself. I have no idea what these errors mean, but I am under the impression that by using my active key, I am able to post, comment, collect rewards, move funds, and pretty much anything else, right? | None of that worked and I decided to try commenting and voting a bit. No such luck. You can see on @thestickupboys latest, no go. (I did come back to you on @peakd though) I didn't even try commenting. I will log out of it and try again another day and hope this helps with any future developments. |

I am glad you did this. I comment on my phone using both @peakd and @dapplr but only post from the latter. A bit like you. I have also contemplated giving @ecency a go. Now, I am not so sure.
You should always try latest version of mobile app, if don’t want mobile app you can always use our website ecency.com just like other hive websites.
I've used the desktop before and not had any trouble. I'm keen on peakd because you can do more though.

You know, I've yet to have a really positive experience with any mobile app for the blockchain. I do have ecency on my phone but have been not quite whelmed with it, either. Peakd has yet to fail me.

I'll give it another whirl. My issue has always been staying logged in. If I can get logged in and stay that way, I'll definitely be happy.
Once you login you always stay logged in, perhaps last time you tried it had bug, but latest version is quite stable and we always recommend using latest version to get best experience
I just want a cool app so I don't have to use the browser. Supposed to be faster and all that jazz and looks cool to say "I am using blablafigglethorp to post my ish." 😁

Also you can try ecency.com from mobile browser if mobile app has bugs and until we look into this issue. We just tried on latest version and there was no issue.
Yes, was updated on July 17 (last one I got). I am running Android version 9. Kernel version 4.9.112. It is an LG Stylo 5+ (was pretty badass when I got a few years ago, about time for an upgrade). Aside from that, not sure what other info you need.
We had update couple days ago, please try that version. And we tend to release update from every couple weeks up to a month apart. Do let us know if that version works better.
Login directly with active key, hivesigner might be causing issues as it sometimes does. Otherwise, never experienced any issues with mobile app, website works even better but notifications right on mobile device is great to have.
It wouldn't pull up my notifications. Maybe because I had over 99? Not sure. But, hopefully they can remedy it :)
If nothing showing probably your login didn't work properly, not sure. I logged in with active key, standard login, working ok on my end.
I loved dapplr. Sad to see they could not continue the project. I've tried ecency several times and always can't get pass a few bugs so I went for dapplr at the end.
Same same, I have a card up for sale hoping to get a good chunk and if it goes, I'll sell several more and should have enough to buy it. (Dapplr) Finding a team now, that might be a little trickier.

I use Ecency 90% of the time on my Samsung Galaxy Note8 and rarely have had issues. If I do, usually switching servers rectifies the issue; otherwise leave a comment on Discord. @good-karma or one of the @ecency developers get back to you promptly. Peakd does have some cool features I access from time to time..
Just thought of another thing! Try clearing the cache for the Ecency app from your smartphone's settings. Hope you can get it working! @enginewitty
