three little fosters and how they grew...

August 28, 2017... FOSTERS... I am saying this up front... THESE ARE FOSTERS! I do NOT plan on keeping these...(but they are so danged cute)... I do NOT need three more precious.... adorable... steeeenking cute kitties at my house. They are tiny for their age but have been vetted and wormed. Now to put some weight on their little bones...They are extremely friendly and will need to be indoor only and not declawed!

August 28, 2019... So, that was the original post.. people who knew me well scoffed at the thought of me relinquishing them to anyone....
Y'all knew me... two years later I can honestly say.... These WERE fosters.... but how could I resist... And they became Callie, Maisie and Bessie... Six months later, Ernie showed up, rescued from being a dog's chew toy.... The foster house is closed... The babies were all a blessing to the 4 senior cats I lost in the last two years, bringing joy and love to the declining seniors... Foster house is still closed!!!

Honest... I can't take any more fosters in... I am psychologically unable to give them up once I have nursed them back to health and my older cats have taught them "Kitty Manners"... Yes, THAT is the excuse I can use... my older cats would be so disappointed if I integrated any new kits into the house and then gave them away....honestly... that is my story and I'm sticking to it....

They are very cute little kitties. I can see why you'd have a hard time giving them away after nursing them back to health. It's hard not to get attached.

Since you used the Caturday tag, I'll say happy Caturday in advance. :-)

I wouldn't have been able to give them up either. I love calicos. Something about their colouring. Never had one though. I have a year old here who is likely going to end up getting a companion, maybe a calico.

Callie is my first calico in all my years... the rest of have torties, gingers, black, white or grey with a few tuxies... but I always take what the "rescue train" puts in my life.... and YES, your current kitty needs a company and the sooner the better!! They are happiest with another furball when their human is not around... and the antics of two are more than just double the fun!!!

yes she's not happy when I'm out for any more than an hour or so. A couple of weeks after the last adult died I was out for 3 hours .. when I returned I had cat attached for hours afterward.

Oh yes, they still live here.... fat and sassy and ruling the roost along with little Ernie... they are so close in age that they act like brother and sisters... and definitely are a joy to have around....
