From Fatness to Fitness?

At age 57, I had to come to grips with the changes in my body. I was once a stick figure:

That was me at about 23. Young married lady. Even after my first 3 children I quickly got back to flat tummy and fighting fitness with no effort (breastfeeding worked like liposuction.) I lost tummy muscle tone after the last 3 babies (rubber band stretched too many times) but remained a tiny person. Then I hit 50. I kept thinking it was just a phase as the weight crept up, but now I am taking charge to get my body back.

For over a month I have done intermittent fasting (13-16 hours from evening to mid-morning) and seen no real results except to finally halt weight gain. Today I added a 7-minute workout and will see in a week if that has jump-started some weight loss. The workout is my "Plus One" for today.

Thanks for sharing this, Kim! Exercise is not something I have been consistent with for any length of time. The older I get the harder it gets to get that motivation back. Best of luck with that new workout.

My oldest daughter has a lot of workout videos. I selected an 8-minute Tae Bo workout (on VHS) as my reward in a few weeks if the 7-minute workouts don't kill me.
