My strategy here on CTP talk - part 2

avatar

If you did not read the beginning then go here:

Part 1

After a while I found that there was several posts being posted here daily that
could help speed up my acquisition of CTP and Hive tokens.

First you have the daily posts by @russellstockley & @hiveghost
where you can enter drawings to win tokens

Then you have the #IAmAliveChallenge & #LukeisAlive by @flaxz
where you can win tokens every day and once a week.
And in addition you get the normal rewards for interacting.

I also found ways to passively earn tokens while I sleep or are busy doing other things.

First when I invested in CTP tokens I also invested in CTPM tokens which are
miners for the CTP token, so I am earning several CTP tokens from them 24/7.

I also found that I could join a curation trail by @bradleyarrow
that helps in earning curation rewards.
You can read instructions on how to join here: Joining a curation trail.
Other ways you can get tokens are participating in events that happen here sometimes.

Have a nice day and God bless.

Hi @aslehansen

Your guide is a great piece of information for newcomers - everyone starting out could do with a little help

You are doing a great job and its good to see you here everyday
Thanks for the mention as well, I always like engagement and besides the wheels and the Hive Helping Highlight, I randomly do giveaways on all my other posts as well. :) and it is good to see you have won some as well

As @russellstockley said, the best strategy is engagement, and I would add content creation with sharing your opinions, reviews about a certain topic...

Don't get me wrong, I like wheels, giveaways, and I participate in every single one of them, but I like to have my future in my hands... not in a lottery and random events... :)

curation trail is an awesome way to earn some additional tokens from upvoting... I would suggest you look at this post by @achim03, https://ctptalk.com/hive-175254/@achim03/vrpxlepf where he explained some things in details about the curation trail if you have a lower amount of staked HIVE... ;)

Cheers!

You are right that engagement, and production is the best long term, but here I am just talking about things that can help out especially in the beginning.

There are really plenty of great ways to grow here on Hive. You could also start to play games :-). The best long term strategy is in my eyes engagement and I agree here with @russellstockley and @ph1102 especially when you do it in the ctp tribe.

When you engage not only will you develop relationships with others. There are also some authors that actually reward you for commenting on their posts. If you look at @jongolson, @ph1102 or @flaxz they almost always upvote or reward meaningful comments (There are others who do it, me included but our stakes are somewhat smaller).

Contrary to Hive, upvotes on CTP are actually paying author and curator for all size of wallets since there is not a minimal threshold that has to be reached (or I'm not aware of it).

Thanks for the mention Achim, I am not aware of any threshold to reach either, but logically there has to be some lower level once you dig into enough decimals.

Probably there is but it doesn't have the same effects like for hive and in a way even small accounts can earn from comment upvotes and in addition to that there are also curation rewards for the one giving the upvote.
