When doing marketing it is easy
to do whatever you need to do to get sales.
But it is not always the smartest thing to do.

Remember you want to do this for the long haul,
and your reputation is important
if you are going to remain in the game.

So to do perpetual sales,
where what you are selling is on sale 24/7/365,
might be presented as a smart thing to do,
but I believe as time goes by it will hurt your rep.
To put outlandish claims out that has no truth to them at all
is another thing that will hurt you.

Instead be truthful in your claims
and provide real value.
That is what I believe will benefit you over time.

I agree, you should always be honest in all dealing in life. In business people will not stick around and buy from you again and again if you are not honest and give false promises to them.

Exactly my point, yet if you look around on a lot of the "gurus" in the industry, what they are teaching is exactly the opposite.
