During our last hike we had bad snowfall.
It was wet and cold. Still we managed to light a fire and have some warm food to recharge.


If you find yourself in a position where you need dry wood and there is none, here a little tipp: go look for pine 🌲 trees and collect the branches that are dryed out. This is super for starting a fireplace.


After a while we had a good big fire at our hand and could cook some food , make warm drinks, yes koffee hahah and of cource get some heat for the rest of the tour.

Haha well, it went from -4°C to about -10°C so not to bad. For me it is better to have extreme cold than extreme heat outside haha , that is ironic because I work as a lifeguard 🍀

I come from the north of Germany, here minus 2 degrees feel like already minus 20 🥶 Hopefully you don't have to save so many people in the weather ⛑️ I wish you a lot of fun and success Hive on

For me, this is not weather for hiking. I'd rather wait for spring! This weekend it should be 17 ° C again in the Lower Rhine. Last week Sunday it was still -10 °C.
