We often see people invest lot of money in parties and marriage function for the sake of pomp and show. Remember pomp and show will not impress other it only swallow your heard earned money. Promote simple life.
People who started sacrificing earlier by living frugal life style have more chance of achieving financial freedom. Earlier investment always ahead as he has more time to achieve his goal.
There is no need to worry if you didn't start it earlier. Time will never come again and the best thing one can do is to utilise the available time. Remember tallest tree of the world start its journey from seed.

I'm ready. I think we have to learn how to plan for the future to build a better life for ourselves financially. Sacrificing the unnecessary things today for a good future tomorrow is a great bargain to me. It takes time so the earlier we start, the better.
