I am excited now to test this as I haven’t gotten around to testing yet. Maybe that would have given me a much idea on some of the features you talk about.
My initial thoughts when I saw this news over at threads was that, ecency is copying Leo threads and I wasn’t fully happy because it’ll take away some of the importance of what Khal is trying to build. Leo threads is meant for us to use Leo UI and if we can comment fine now from other front ends and still have them indexed on Leo threads, I am not too happy with that.
Fortunately, I was on the show as well and hearing Khal speak about this means both Leo and ecency still have a long way to go to perfect their microblogging experience. We’ve seen a few of the big fixes already and the change in the publishing editor has got me excited. I can post with my phone now 🙂.
Leo threads is a separate UI altogether. Indexing short form content on many front ends is good but it would have been easier if leothreads was the UI to be displayed on all Hive front ends.
