And Humpty Dumpty Had a Great Fall
Hello everyone✨
We can all agree that kids are very adorable. Beneath their headstrongness is a tender, pure and a loving soul. I highlighted the pure because they rely on their elders to know the difference between right and wrong;good and bad.
As I'm the last child of my parents, I didn't have the opportunity to take care of any younger siblings until the day my cousin announced that he was a father and the juicy part was that his kid was about two years old. This news brought so much joy to me as I had just found a new play buddy/little sibling.
On one of the days when my cousin came visiting, we(my sister and I) asked to borrow his child(Mimi) for a play session. He warned us to be careful as he released the girl.
Merrily, we were walking down the stairs when we saw Mimi at the bottom of the stair. My sister and I exchanged glances with our mouths wide open.
"Oh no, we've killed our cousin's child" were my thoughts.
I don't know what my sister was thinking about but she seemed too frightened to even say a word. And to top it all up, Mimi didn't move for about 30seconds. After some time, Mimi stood up from where she had landed and started wiping the dust off her clothes.
Didn't this girl just roll down fourteen stairs? yes, I counted afterwards 😅
As Mimi stood up, my sister scurried down the stairs to check if the little girl had sustained any form of injuries or maybe broken a bone. After inspecting little Mimi, my sister heaved a sigh of relief and it was at this point that the little girl thought it fit to start crying.
Three minutes had passed and she didn't cry but immediately after she felt the tension release, she decided to cry and she cried like her life depended on it
"Mimi, why are you crying? Is anywhere paining you?"
"No"
"Then why are you crying?" And she increased the intensity of her tears.
We were trying to stop this girl from crying to prevent drawing attention and as such, we promised her heaven and earth. My sister was saying things like
"Don't cry na, I'd buy you new clothes, and plenty biscuits and sweets and toys" hehehe, little children promising a fellow child heaven and earth 😂Good thing she didn't remember all these promises.
Eventually, the tears stopped. This scene wasn't funny that day but now that I think of it, why would a child slip and roll down a series of stairs, stand up, wipe the dust off her clothes and three minutes later, start crying? Hilarious. Maybe , if my sister hadn't shown too much emotions, Mimi wouldn't have cried. Who knows?.
With love, wongi ✨
Sounds to me like you started singing and mimi got the shock of her life and fell down the stairs 🤣🤣🤣
That is funny though, and I can imagine the look on your face and your sisters as mimi lay motionless!

😂😂😂😂😂
My singing wasn't that terrible 😂😂 but maybe we said something that shocked Mimi to the marrow😂
hehe I know your singer had improved by that time and you know I was only teasing 🤣
I know you were teasing 😂
The tension! 😂😂
hehe I know right!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh God😂😂😂
It was a day filled with so much terror😂
I can imagine😀
😅😅
Thanks for coming around IB✨
You are welcome😃
😊❣️
Lol, I think Mimi thought it was all just fun and games rolling down the stairs. She felt like she did well until you guys showed signs of worry instead of cheering her up.🤔👀
In those 3 minutes, she learned the truth that what just happened was supposed to hurt and it was not part of the play. Poor child😂"
If it was really a play, then she was taking it too seriously 😅😅. It would have been a different story if we set the rolling pace for her..but we didn't.
Hahaha!😅
Thank God little Mimi was fine at the end.
It was really a relief. She's all grown up now.with no broken bones
That's great!😀
😂😂😂, you guys need to be careful next time though
This was a long time ago. I doubt such effort repeated itself😅
hahaha... Children can be so dramatic my dear...
I remembered my childhood days, it isn't the falling that makes us cry it is the sorry we get from friends that makes us shed tears... Hahah
Exactly, the sorry and the sympathy😂.
I've fallen down a stairs before. Actually, I was trying to take 3 steps at a time(was going downwards) My mum has warned me against it but I no listen.
That day ehn! Ha! I couldn't cry although I felt the ache sometime after the fall. If I had cried, my mum would have shown me hell😂😂
I would trust your mom to show you shege after she had warned you😂 hope you didn't sustain any serious injuries.
I couldn't cry. I knew what awaited me should I cry😂
Minor bruises but I was okay.
I like the way you put it here😂😂😂😂😂
Glad you didn't break any bones
Could it be Mimi died for 30 seconds and resurrected? Just me wondering how come she didn't cry until three minutes have passed lol
she must have resurrected 😂
she probably thought that rolling was a game.
The shock made her no cry.
I guess the stairs was looking like a swing 😂😂
Stairs are supposed to be walked on and not rolled on😅😅. This particular stairs don't look like a swing in any way.
I had many siblings after me and let me tell you...
They have little angels( I wanted to say demons) besides them that tell them when to behave like ogbanje😭.
But Mimi tried Sha. I was feeling the scenario as she rumbled on the 14 steps on the staircase. Jeeez!
I can believe that the demons tell them what to do because no child would see stairs and willingly decide to fall😅
Yeah,
And these demons make their body pain resistance most times 😎
It's such demons I needed when I was receiving strikes of came in high school.
I don't believe you got flogged in school. Naaah!
You passed through ajebo secondary school na. I know your history up to 89% you know😎
Hehehe😂😂
There was nothing ajebo-ish about my highschool. They flogged us when necessary and punished us too. The regular
Now, you got me Imagining your reactions when those strokes landed on your back... upon say you soft 🤣
Not my back sha....
All strokes on the hand
Then, then it's a soft process...not the aggressive type.
But, do you normally cry? I'm expecting a lie for an answer
No of course......hard girl
Just the lie I was expecting 🤣
It's not a lie na😂😂..
I was used to it from jss3
Hmmm
It's okay.
The teachers that flogged must have had difficulties dishing out the strokes...to the innocent face and the small soft body.
Eyah
😂😂
They flogged boys on the buttsl sometimes but for girls, it was strictly the hands😂 we cannot be collecting stroke anyhow please.
In my secondary school then, what goes for guys goes for ladies too. The good side of gender equality women always talk about 😏
You mean the bad side of gender equality 😂.
Good to men
Good to planet Earth
Good to heaven
Good to some percentage of ladies.
Checking the average;
We can't term that BAD SIDE
Wellll. If you say so :-)
Yay! 🤗

On 2nd Street back home, there's people everywhere. Dude knocked over a little kid cuz the kids parents weren't paying attention. Total accident. I watched it, nobody got hurt, it was the parents fault. Anywho.. He said, "good thing they bounce!"
I laughed out loud.
Woah😂. Actually,it's a good thing they bounce. Else, he would have had an injured baby on his conscience.
I wonder where the parents went.
They were right there. It was shoulder to shoulder people that day, they weren't paying attention and little guy got knocked over. He wasn't hurt.
But, I never saw him cry. I didn't stick around three minutes though.
Little guy probably didn't cry if people didn't react. I realized that for kids; public reaction=tears.
