STV - The Artist In The Machine

Electronic Music, that is a whole different story. Of course, I grew up on the 80s synth sounds but that was as electronic as it got.
Because when things went a bit further I turned the other cheek.

And yes next to London Amsterdam Gas Fabriek was probably one of the first places on this continent where these ACID parties took off.

And of course, I come from the country that invent Euro Trash ehh Euro Dance and Gabber I took me to at least Turn Up The Bass 18 to slightly appreciate dance music other than the Prodigy:

But Turn up the Bass 18 changed it all.

This killer hit my ears and I knew I didn´t hate electronic music, I just did not dig 99% of the shit they put out....

But okay let me get to the point because this an #SpreadTheVibes post after all and they need to be inspired by someone or something.

Now I love these guys and all their creativity but that is a bad excuse to get inspired. I needed something else and I found it:

The @stickupboys impressed me several times before but this video is basically showing the Euhreka moment my head had when it comes to electronic music,

Imagine an eclectic rock metal DJ going to a Goth festival....
Of course I was there for Das Ich, although I secretly liked them best in this remix:

But I knew already that VNV Nation was one of my fav Goth bands, the thing is what did I not know.

I did not know Freckles about electronic music, until I saw this

One guy one a stage pushing some buttons and creating crazy sounds.

I was just so impressed how certain sounds originated and then got shot from left to right through those damn speakers ...blasting my mind as I saw the guy pushing some other buttons and heard the effect a few seconds later.

I finally got it, I got Industrial goth the weirder the better I mean wumpscut is cool;

BUT I was the DJ and I wanted it as F ed up as possible...not like these posers

Now to some goths are weird and scary....yes they can be:

But I am so glad to find bands like DK Zero

DK-Zero - Nightmare

Combining that darkness, those electronics, and the riffs into a beautiful nightmare.

But I am getting off track as always... Because this son of a Rock Bitch needed to see the light.
He needed to see someone push the button(s);

No not that button!
Not the play button!
But all those little buttons like @stickupboys do:

For me the eye-opener was understanding where those sounds come from...
Or maybe vice versa ....not understanding how those little boxes can generate all those crazy sounds and noises. And how you can make them go from one corner speaker to another.

It was like discovering the artist in the machine I had not seen before.
