Beyond Doubt (2).jpg

Welcome to my seemingly endless journey.
A trip that will take you to places I might have visited many moons ago.
It´s a tale that came back to me when I meditated on one of my past lives. A life I told you about in my unbelievable true story.

As promised in that story I will now share this story with you.

Chapter 122

Dear Reader, An angry man is not a pretty sight, he stomps and rages like a mad bull. He reverts to his Neanderthal behavior.

An angry woman, on the other hand, turns into a she-devil, her eyes turn black, and her jawline tenses.

If that is her primordial core, behold the mother of us all, soft and sweet until you awaken her true being.

I thought myself weak even considering it but we still had one last option, to embark on a new journey, just like our ancestors did. We would not be fleeing from any sea devils this time, but from demons on horseback and dogs with teeth. How far would we have to travel this time, what would it cost our tribe to pick up and move once again?

Is that what we were about? Trying to stay ahead of danger, walking away when we knew standing our ground did not make any sense? It was the survivor thing to do for sure, it had brought us to where we are today. The world was a vast place and there were still many places where the claws of the Sikh´s army would never reach-

Then the realization dawned that this would not apply to the villages surrounding us. That if things unfolded or did not unfold there would be no stop to the killing for the time being. It feels like a slap in the face when I realize that these maniacs will have free rein until enough people sacrifice their lives for the greater good.
I can't leave, not after what I just said. I have to go into hiding, start a resistance that grows slowly but steadily until it's able to overthrow the regime. And to install a new regime, hoping it won't follow in the footsteps of the previous one or worse. Although I have a hard time imagining the latter.

Lying on my bed with my eyes focused on the decorations of the high ceiling, I try to put all these thoughts in order. In the hallway, I hear footsteps that I recognize from thousands. Probably because they walked half of the world next to me.

It's Numico, and with one jump, I'm at the door and open it a little. “Numico,” I whisper. He turns around, looks over his shoulder, and then steps into my room.

“I'm sorry, it's my fault,” I begin my apology. "This was...."

Numico puts a finger to his lips. “I know what you want to say, but this was the intention. I don't know what you told her, but the frenzy with which that woman entered the room exceeded my expectations. She seemed so gentle, so kind. But now it was rather diabolical or maybe even worse." There was a hint of a grin on his lips.

"Rest assured something was about to happen, it wasn't clear to me what, but I knew it was coming. The progress was too slow and I started to lose my grip on him. He already had an appointment with the council to discuss certain matters that I explained to him. Something I was very much against. I also explained to him why. That it would be better to wait, but he couldn't keep the council out of business. They needed to be informed of the decisions he was about to make."

"Unfortunately, these decisions were only a small part of the total package needed to initiate change. In addition, as soon as the council became aware, it would try to make my task impossible. They would rush me, and try to portray me in a bad light. They would distort the information, influence it, and do all things in their power to train things."

"There was just one way to avoid that, the Sikh should have firmly sidelined the council, but he was unable to give himself that space. He is stuck in his ways and continues to stick to his laws and rules. Rules that he has imposed on himself and from which he is too stubborn to deviate. Even in cases where he realizes that it is very important, he cannot let go of what he has created. He does not have the ability to anger his own divinity and therefore cannot reverse any decisions made."

" It´s so hard to grasp that a man as wise as he is, is at the same time unable to change. He even knows that himself, but he remains too tangled up within his own reasoning, while his conscience tells him differently he is too haughty to ask for, or even accept help. What happens now is his choice, this is what would happen if he didn't take the easy path. This is their plan B,” Numico looks up for a moment.

"What about us, what now?" I ask. "This must mean that we will have to leave this palace within the next couple of days if we are lucky. We lost our opportunity, and I fear above all what awaits the people back home. Although I do not like the idea of being imprisoned here either." Numico puts his finger to his lips again.

“We have not left yet, wait until the last words are spoken. Things might take on a completely different color than the darkness you are describing now. Although there is a good chance that the color will be blood red.”

His last words move my thoughts out of this room to where my heart is. My heart goes out to Krya, who is now in the lion's den fighting for her beliefs against an opponent who seems invincible. What can she do?
