The Tune Tune Train keeps rolling:
The Tune Tune Train is a challenge I came up with based on the Three Tunes Tuesday format. ItΒ΄s a TTT with a riddle!
How doe it work?
I will give you three great songs and you can win a $1 Ecency boost if you tell me what connects the songs.
A connection can be: they are all about flowers, they have the same drummer, they all sing about Pink Mushrooms, or they are all kids from famous parents. Just to give an idea of what a connection might be.
ItΒ΄s up to you Dear Reader to figure out what connects the Tune Tune Train. The first one that drops the solution in the comments gets a $1 boost on their next post!
Or you can just wait till I solve the riddle in next week's post.
And these were last week's songs:
ASP - Die TeufelsmΓΌhle
Brisinga - Krabat
Marly Marques Quintet - Dark Satanic Mills
Last Week's Clue Was:
- Pages & Pages of black filled with white letter
Now if I would just combine Mill & that second title what do I Google get:
And even Googling Satanic Mill would get me that awesome book by Otfried Preussler. No AI required just MI (My Inteligence).
Got the Book?
We Have No Winner
This means I have to get up with an even more straightforward riddle this week!
Here we go again!
All Aboard!
Are You Ready To Riddle?
Sometimes you have to go back to the root of all evil, Rock&Roll and there was only one King...The King. Nobody did it better, and no one probably will do it better in the future.
So I picked three of my favorite King songs and lets see who is the first to figure out what connects them.
Elvis - Hound Dog
Hound Dog is definitely a great track, but I love this corny little song even better.
Elvis - Always on My Mind
Still, I saved the best for last, this is definitely one of my all-time favorite Elvis songs.
Elvis - In The Ghetto
Here, Have A Clue
King of Thieves
Let me know in the comments if you figure out what connects these three songs. If you need another hint, check out my Midnight Gems Session this Friday!
Because the First to get it right, gets a nice $1 Ecency Boost!
The connection and winner will be featured in next week's #TTT

These are all covers, Elvis wrote very few of his own songs. That's my guess anyway.. All great tunes, but In The Ghetto my pick too.. Such a good song
Yes sir, Elvis was the King of Thieves stealing great songs and making them immortal. You are spot on also about In The Ghetto btw π
I actually hate the song In the Ghetto. I've never been much of an Elvis fan anyway, but that is probably my least favorite song by him. If I had to pick three that I do like I'd have to go with Kentucky Rain, Suspicious Minds, and maybe Love me Tender. I see someone got it already. Guess I am too late again. I think I said I am not going to bother trying anymore anyway :) See how that works out for me?
Ahh, I love to see you try.
I loved Elvis when I was little and In The Ghetto always was my favorite, no clue why but In The Ghetto and Teddy bear were my favs.
Nowadays I like the story more than the music
I appreciate him for what he did, but I was just never a huge fan of his music. Even before South Park I never cared for In the Ghetto, but now all I can hear is Cartman singing it.
I want to hear the some about Pink Mushrooms man!! A great post as always, and was delighted to see it early and get in with my guess that they were all cover songs by Elvis, who wrote almost none of his classics at all. He did co-write 'That's Someone You Never Forget' and 'You'll Be Gone' as far as I know.
Thanks bud and indeed non of his classics were actually his #kingofthieves but lets see what I can dig up on those mushrooms...it would fit nicely with the new trippy train
