The Tune Tune Train keeps rolling:
The Tune Tune Train is a challenge I came up with based on the Three Tunes Tuesday format. ItΒ΄s a TTT with a riddle!
How doe it work?
I will give you three great songs and you can win a $1 Ecency boost if you tell me what connects the songs.
A connection can be: they are all about flowers, they have the same drummer, they all sing about Pink Mushrooms, or they are all kids from famous parents. Just to give an idea of what a connection might be.
ItΒ΄s up to you Dear Reader to figure out what connects the Tune Tune Train. The first one that drops the solution in the comments gets a $1 boost on their next post!
Or you can just wait till I solve the riddle in next week's post.
And these were last week's songs:
Ramona Lisa - "Arcadia"
Chairlift - Amanaemonesia
Caroline Polachek - Sunset
Last Week's Clues Were:
- I¨ll be your mirror
- WhoΒ΄s That Girl
The girl in the mirror...π€
Got the Picture?
We Had No Winner
Now how hard is it to recognize a girl?
A girl with crazy good musical skills?
WhoΒ΄s that girl, that girl was three times Caroline Polachek, go check her out, her and her side projects such as "Ramona Lisa" & "Chairlift"!
Here we go again!
All Aboard!
Are You Ready To Riddle?
This week I wanted a connection with only awesome songs, a quest after so many riddles....where do I find three awesome songs with a connection. It took me a lifetime but I think I did it.
LetΒ΄s start with this supergroup and their outlaw country subgenre song about....themselves?
Highwayman β The Highwaymen
How come everyone knows Pink Floyd and only a few have even heard about Van Der Graaf Generator? This little Gem I got using the way back to 1976 Machine, just to expose you to it! Have a 7.5-minute wonderful experience!
Van Der Graaf Generator - Still Life
Talking about wonderful experiences, Sinead got famous with that Nothing Compares To Prince cover. But the album that contains that song contains so many more gems, and probably the biggest one is this Greek Tragedy!
Sinead OΒ΄Conner - Troy
Here, Have A Clue
Highlander
Let me know in the comments if you figure out what connects these three songs. If you need another hint, check out my Midnight Gems Session this Friday!
Because the First to get it right, gets a nice $1 Ecency Boost!
The connection and winner will be featured in next week's #TTT

I have actually covered the Highwayman song on HIVE before... A Country Supergroup similar to how The Travelling Wilburies was a supergroup!
Damn You Are good!
I knew about The Travelling Wilburies, but only recently discovered The Highwayman, and I think I will do a little story on them soon. I will have look up your version and probably incorporate it as well it was really a great song.
You probably did not even need the Highlander hint....did youπ
Sir, @whywhy, I have sent you 1000 ecency points. Kindly check. Thank you.
Have a great day.
It's a bit sad that Kris didn't have the career that the other three did. I mean sure, he did all the acting stuff and he wrote "Me and Bobby McGee", but if you put him up there with Willie, Waylon, and Johnny, he kind of gets lost in the shuffle. I'm not even going to try for the riddle this week!
I thought that with the Highlander reference, you were sure to get it. But you would have been too late anyway. Still those Highwaymen were an awesome find for me
Yeah, like I said, I probably won't even try anymore. Too much stress to be worth it! I look forward to seeing your deeper dive into them! Speaking of supergroups, It's only recently I realized that Damn Yankees was a supergroup.
Were they?? Damn, have to look into that as well.
Yeah, Ted Nugent was one of the members. Nuge, Guy from Night Ranger, and one or two other people.
Yay! π€

Good work Jasper, always on the ball with your musical knowledge, I would not have had a clue, not the foggiest!!
Highwayman β The Highwaymen -- Good tune that.
Good point, there is a proper Pink Floyd vibe coming off that track now I must say, love the images with all those branches too, cool..
Finished out by a very young Sinead O Connor, nice one, a great selection of tunes for us this week.
Thanks. ThatΒ΄s what I thought finally a riddle with 3 awesome tunes. And those highwaymen damn what a cool song!
