La batalla estelar de este sábado 3 de junio, nos iba a indicar, quien sería el próximo contendiente al título, se trataba de un combate de eliminación, por tanto, Kai Kara-France vs. Amir Albazi, disputaban una lucha a 5 asaltos, siendo la estelar de la noche. Albazi, llegaba con 5 victorias consecutivas, ubicado en la posición número 7 del ranking. Kai Kara-France, entraba al combate con una derrota, la cual fue contra el campeón actual y ostenta el puesto número 3 del ranking de peso mosca.
The stellar battle of Saturday, June 3, was going to indicate who would be the next contender for the title, it was an elimination bout, therefore, Kai Kara-France vs. Amir Albazi, disputed a 5 round fight, being the highlight of the night. Albazi, arrived with 5 consecutive victories, located in the number 7 position in the ranking. Kai Kara-France, came into the fight with one loss, which was against the current champion and holds the number 3 flyweight ranking.
En la previa del combate, ambos demostraron poco cariño, al parecer, tenían muchas ganas de luchar y existía una energía de gran rivalidad. Todo esto le añade mucho color a la pelea, esperábamos que salieran con mucho ímpetu, ofreciendo grandes momentos de intercambio y que pudiéramos presenciar una gran guerra. Bueno, no ha sido la mejor pelea, pero estuvo muy competitiva de principio a fin, concluyendo con un puntaje muy apretado y el resultado podría ser para cualquiera. Se decidió todo en las tarjetas y termino ganando Amir Albazi, aunque, muchos piensan que no ha sido lo correcto.
In the lead-up to the bout, both showed little affection, apparently, they were eager to fight and there was an energy of great rivalry. All this adds a lot of color to the fight, we expected them to come out with a lot of momentum, offering great moments of exchange and that we could witness a great war. Well, it has not been the best fight, but it was very competitive from start to finish, concluding with a very tight score and the result could be for anyone. It was all decided on the scorecards and Amir Albazi ended up winning, although, many think it was not the right thing to do.
Kai Kara-France, suele ser un peleador muy explosivo, tiende a salir con mucha energía y ser el agresivo desde el minuto 1. Aquí, comenzó un poco lento, quizás, buscando equilibrar su cardio, recordando que el combate estaba pautado a 5 asaltos y no podía desgastarse desde el comienzo. Amir Albazi, presiono constantemente durante todo el primer asalto, pero, Kai Kara-France, desde la distancia, estuvo conectando buenos golpes y este round pudo haber sido para cualquiera de ambos luchadores.
Para el segundo round del combate, Kai Kara-France, continuaba atacando desde la distancia, manejando perfectamente su alcance y conectando buenos golpes de poder. Amir Albazi, presiono contra la reja, jugo mucho al clinch, pero, realmente no hizo mucho daño y a pesar de que conecto algunos golpes de poder, no creo que haya sido suficiente y para mi sorpresa este round, todos los jueces se lo colocaron a Amir Albazi. Me parece que el hombre que ocasiona más daño, tiene que llevarse el asalto.
El tercero y cuarto asalto del combate, fueron los más claros, aquí no tengo dudas, Amir Albazi, domino por completo a Kai Kara-France. Utilizo su lucha para llevarlo al suelo y obtuvo mucho tiempo de control. Conecto golpes de ground and pound, efectuó varios derribos y Kai Kara-France no pudo hacer mucho. Basándome en mi perspectiva, teníamos un combate empatado y el quinto asalto sería el definitivo para ambos peleadores. Lamentablemente, los jueces tenían otra visión del combate.
Y como me esperaba, Kai Kara-France, salió con la explosividad que le caracteriza, estuvo intercambiando muchos golpes, conecto patadas, defendió muy bien los derribos y conecto golpes de poder al rostro de Amir Albazi. No hay nada que objetar, ha sido un round perfecto para Kai Kara-France y los jueces también lo puntuaron de esa manera. Con el cierre de Kai Kara-France, pensé que se llevaba el combate y que había hecho lo necesario para ganar el primero, segundo y quinto asalto del combate.
Kai Kara-France, usually a very explosive fighter, tends to come out with a lot of energy and be aggressive from the first minute. Here, he started a little slow, perhaps, looking to balance his cardio, remembering that the fight was scheduled for 5 rounds and he could not wear himself out from the beginning. Amir Albazi, pressed constantly throughout the first round, but, Kai Kara-France, from the distance, was connecting good punches and this round could have been for any of both fighters.
For the second round of the fight, Kai Kara-France continued to attack from distance, managing his range perfectly and landing good power punches. Amir Albazi, pressed against the fence, played a lot of clinch, but, didn't really do much damage and even though he landed some power punches, I don't think it was enough and to my surprise this round, all the judges gave it to Amir Albazi. It seems to me that the man who does the most damage, has to take the round.
The third and fourth rounds of the fight, were the clearest, here I have no doubt, Amir Albazi, completely dominated Kai Kara-France. He used his wrestling to take him to the ground and got a lot of control time. He connected with ground and pound strikes, landed several takedowns and Kai Kara-France couldn't do much. Based on my perspective, we had a draw and the fifth round would be the clincher for both fighters. Unfortunately, the judges had another view of the fight.
And as I expected, Kai Kara-France, came out with the explosiveness that characterizes him, he was exchanging a lot of punches, he connected kicks, defended the takedowns very well and connected power punches to Amir Albazi's face. There is nothing to object, it was a perfect round for Kai Kara-France and the judges also scored it that way. With Kai Kara-France's clinch, I thought he took the fight and did what he needed to do to win the first, second and fifth rounds of the fight.

Kai Kara-France, ejecuto una estrategia que no le "funciono", porque no termino ganando, pero de mi parte estuvo perfecto y la pelea debió haber sido para su historial. Quizás, no debió dejar que lo colocaran tanto sobre la reja, Amir Albazi, utilizando mucho el clinch, hace ver que está dominando el combate y de que está presionando, pero no estaba haciendo daño y desde el striking, Kai Kara-France, sinceramente, lo paseo durante todo el combate.
Se le vuelve a negar la posibilidad de pelear por el título, Kai Kara-France, llegaba como favorito a ganar esta pelea y se va con una derrota muy dolorosa. Siempre ha estado a las puertas de conseguir una lucha titular y en el paso final termina quedándose. En las estadísticas, Kai Kara-Frace, supero en casi todo a Amir Albazi, y las razones del porqué no gano este combate me parecen un poco extrañas. Claro, no hay robo en pelea cerrada, menos cuando Albazi, gano 2 asaltos muy claros.
Pero, analizando el global del combate, Kai Kara-France, estuvo mejor en absolutamente todo, a veces no se entiende un poco la forma de como los jueces puntúan los combates. Para Amir Albazi, ha sido su victoria más importante, seguramente va a ocupar el puesto de Kara-Frace, lo veremos llegar al puesto número 3 y no me queda dudas de que estará luchando por el título en su próximo combate. Hoy, era el momento de ganarse la oportunidad y lo ha conseguido, demostrando un rendimiento aceptable, frente a un rival muy duro.
La división se pone interesante, desde hace mucho tiempo, veíamos los mismos nombres en el top 5, ahora, estará entrando Amir Albazi, ofreciendo un aire fresco a la categoría y siendo un retador nuevo en las 125 libras. El 8 de julio, Brandon Moreno va a estar defendiendo el cinturón frente a Alexandre Pantoja, quien termine ganando, lo veremos enfrentando a Amir Albazi. Hombre que, por ahora, se va a ir contento con su victoria y esperara pacientemente a su momento grande y tener la opción de luchar por el campeonato.

In the stats, Kai Kara-France, outclassed Amir Albazi in almost everything, and the reasons why he didn't win this fight seem a little strange to me. Of course, there is no robbery in a close fight, even less when Albazi won 2 very clear rounds.
But, analyzing the overall of the fight, Kai Kara-France, was better in absolutely everything, sometimes you don't understand a little bit the way the judges score the fights. For Amir Albazi, it was his most important victory, he will surely take Kara-Frace's place, we will see him reach the number 3 position and I have no doubt that he will be fighting for the title in his next fight. Today, it was his time to earn the opportunity and he did it, showing an acceptable performance, against a very tough opponent.
The division is getting interesting, for a long time, we have been seeing the same names in the top 5, now, Amir Albazi will be entering, offering a fresh air to the category and being a new challenger at 125 pounds. On July 8, Brandon Moreno will be defending his belt against Alexandre Pantoja, whoever ends up winning, we will see him face Amir Albazi. A man who, for now, will be happy with his victory and will wait patiently for his big moment and have the option to fight for the championship.

Saludos amigo, los combates de la noche de ayer, estuvieron muy bueno, desde el primero hasta el último, la cual era el más esperado por todos y de esa manera ver quien avanza para estar mas cerca de ese título y el cinturón. Una peleas de cinco rounds, cargadas de muchos golpe y cada peleador salieron con todos y con una meta muy clara, pensé que se acabaría con algún nocaut, sin embargo no fue lo esperado y todo fue por decisión. Ahora nos toca esperar las próximas fechas y ver cómo se desarrollará.
No me ví toda la cartelera, no era un evento tan llamativo, pero los últimos combates estelares, si estuvieron muy bueno y por supuesto, igualmente el principal. Lo que se viene a futuro es divertido para la división, está victoria de Albazi, coloca todo en gran forma. Saludos.
