OpenAI board replaces Sam Altman!

Another Friday, another unexpected news!
"Mr. Altman’s departure follows a deliberative review process by the board, which concluded that he was not consistently candid in his communications with the board, hindering its ability to exercise its responsibilities," the blog post said.
This is quite a weird way to handle business and definitely feels like an unexpected move.
I do not like it as OpenAI became so important for AI progress and I wouldn't want it to be in the hands of the select few. It seems it might be the case.
I guess they already lied when they became a for-profit company... But something does not feel right with what is happening inside this black box.

[…] Mira is exceptionally qualified to step into the role of interim CEO. We have the utmost confidence in her ability to lead OpenAI during this transition period.”
Hopefully, Elon and other well intended SiliconValley entrepreneurs might see this and try to develop an alternative. Even if Grok seems fun, I am not sure it is a serious alternative to ChatGPT.

Worldcoin (WLD), sam's eye-scanning crypto project drops 12%
Weird crypto move... if anything, I would imagine he would have more time to focus on this and maybe make an AI coin out of Worldcoin.
