Hello community, delighted to greet you and wish you a beautiful, blessed and prosperous day. It is a pleasure for me to be back in this hive after a long time without posting for personal reasons. I hope to be able to continue in this wonderful community, contribute and learn from each hivers.

Without further ado, I will tell you about my visit to Sucre Street, better known as the historic center of the city of Cumana, first-born of the American continent.

In this street we can find beautiful houses with designs of the colonial era, although over time certain arrangements have been made in walls and ceilings but trying to maintain its original style. These buildings are the hallmark of Sucre Street.

This time I will tell you about a colonial house located in front of the Santa Inés church, Cumaná, Venezuela. It is located in a strategic point of the historic center since every year in the month of November the foundation of Cumana is celebrated with a party well known by the locals as the nights of autumn with the purpose of remembering the Colonial era. These celebrations are held on the facade or front of this house. It is the ideal place to enjoy all the costumes allusive to that time.

It is worth mentioning that many years ago, this house was the site of a high school that was well known in the city for providing quality education for life. At present the house is unoccupied and, according to information from the person in charge of the place, it is under maintenance.
A curious fact is that this building used to be blue, but now it has been painted pink, making its walls very striking.

One of the most outstanding characteristics of these houses are their doors and windows, which always caught my attention because of their height. I asked why that size, where the caretaker of the place very kindly explained the reason, according to visitors brought horses and so they could pass without any inconvenience. So my doubt was cleared and I could finally understand that design in all the houses on Sucre Street.

The main railings are wrought iron, white, with a wave-shaped design at the top, with seven columns of three bars and three rows with an internal diamond design, also has internal wooden windows with a glass design in the center in the shape of a rectangle.

The main door is made of wood, with a metal lock, in the shape of a rectangle, it has a quite considerable size, in addition, it has a very peculiar design in the upper part that forms the image of a house.

This building also has a design on the main facade that differentiated it from other colonial houses, as it was the hallmark of the family that lived there. When you saw the seal you knew who were the people who lived there. Being in Sucre Street is to remember all those pleasant moments that I have lived in this beautiful place.

Thank you for joining me on this wonderful tour, God bless you 🙏.

It is a nice house, in the state of Aragua there is a similar house but it is called the yellow house and I also made a publication about it. These colonial style houses are beautiful.
