Pushing yourself to the limits!

Hello Everyone, Namaste πŸ˜ŠπŸ™

We humans tend to limit ourselves in our comfort zones and try to stay in a safe and protected environment most of the time. But hardly does we know that our comfort zone is the biggest hindrance in our lives. I had been a victim of being overprotective about my comfort zone. My comfort zone and happy space for me was my home. I had been a introvert person throughout my life, I still am today.

Since my birth till the age of 22, I hadn't left my house which was my comfort zone. I had always been too shy to go to relatives house for a long time. Hardly had i spent a week away from my house. I went to school and college in nearby areas where I travel from my house everyday. Also during my final days of High School, my school invited all students in the campus to join extra classes after the school. Special arrangements were made for staying but I was too terrified to leave the house. I somehow managed to convince my parents to stay and study at home only.

Then came the dilemma of choosing the college. Because most renowned colleges are far from home and hostel was the only option to board it. I had always feared to stay in hostel. Ultimately my fear of leaving the home won. I enrolled in the local college only. But this all changed soon after graduation. Now I had two options, one stay in my hometown and look for local jobs which were hardly available and mostly underpaid. Or I had to leave the house and move to Big City for better opportunities.

This was definitely a big decision and ultimately i overcome my fears and moved to New Delhi for higher preparations and job search. This was the first time I moved out of the house. The first few months were highly challenging and I was totally lost in the starting. But this is the time when I realised what life is all about. How the fast paced life is in cities. The cut throat competition shown me many bitter truth of life. Many time i thought of giving up and going back to my hometown. During this face, all my relatives and friends from hometown assumed i would not make a life in City. It's not my cut of tea and that i should come back to hometown only. I don't deserve that life. I am not made for it. These are the comments and feedback I got during my struggle days while I was alone surviving in the big city. Many times i thought of giving up and i doubted myself a lot.

But I didn't give and worked very hard everyday through many ups and downs. I did few part time jobs to manage my finances. Meanwhile i struggled alot to make myself ease at the new places and people around me. The amount of hard work and persistence efforts I did was beyond my imagination. It was not achievable for me until I did it. Then I realised that we humans are only bound to our own abilities. There is nothing we can achieve if we our our heart and mind into it. It was totally a surprise for many people when I had secured a reputed job in the city and settled myself well around especially during the high level of rising unemployment in my country. I had definitely outdone myself with sheer hard work and dedication. It seems totally unrealistic when I look back at those days of my life but definitely I am happy and proud of myself for the way i changed my life.

No one can predict our lives and define our boundaries. We should be the only one who have the command of shaping our destiny. This something i had done and seen for myself that Hard work beats talent. No matter whether you are affluent and resourceful. But if you work hard and stay persistence in your efforts, success is bound to happen at some stage of life. Keep working hard for your dreams and never doubt yourself. Challenge yourself to the limits and redefine those limits every single day.

I can relate to your experience as an introvert and call tell that it is really challenging to move away from the comfort of our homes but the time will come when we will have to make the move.

It will be challenging and just like you, surviving away from home is possible if we are determined to do so.

I can relate very well with the kind of life that kept you bound in the first place. I mean, it was just like you were narrating my story. Being an introvert and scared to relate with the outside world was something I struggled with for long in my life as well but, I am glad, I am gradually overcoming that phase too.

Giving up is one of the biggest set back man has, if we put our mind to do something, it will definitely be achieved. The beginning might not be palatable but in the end, you will discover that the energy and sacrifices you made was worth it.

Now I see what you might have gone through in search of bigger opportunities, it might have seemed very difficult to adapt to the whole process but glad you got over it, and that's what makes us adults, getting over situations that seem impossible.

I think if we get such big oppurtunity near the hometown, again people will be reluctant to shift.....however to excel in career, one needs to keep moving, as there are bound less behavior....inhave one friend who left a good govt job and shifted back to pvt sector. Only because, he had nothing to do in govt offices.

Lucky are those who do what they love but most of time we do what we get or come across. Being satisfied in everyday job is very challenging whether it's govt or private. Best we can do find a balance between work and life. Have a nice day ☺️ !PIZZA

Well said, this is where comfort comes into play...getting whenever comes is easy but working out for things that one desire is complicated....and people do not like to change.

These are the type of stories that I am passionate about. You don't know how glad I am that you have conquered your fears and moved forward to achieve such an important economic goal! With your permission, let me tell you to never neglect the economy. Always think that it can get worse, and keep fighting until you get a good financial cushion that guarantees stability for at least two years of crisis. But, if you manage to achieve total financial freedom, well! You will have managed to reach the key to real freedom of life.

Thank you so much dear @vikbuddy for sharing your inspiring experience!

Receive a sincere and cordial greeting from me!
