Immigration and racial discrimination

Hello Everyone, Namaste 🙏😊

How are you doing? Every nation has been taking a keen stand on Immigration now a days. Immigration had always been a controversial issue and also one the the political tools for many countries. Immigration has been prominent in the world since the ancient times, its a quite natural human need and survival instinct. However since the past few centuries this majorly due to political, social and economic conditions. Few nations has always taken a strong stance on immigration and introduced very strict and harsh immigration laws while others have relaxed the immigration laws and welcomed the needy with open arms.

United States, Germany, Saudi Arabia and England are the major country having highest number of Immigration. People from lower and middle developed countries moved to these countries for better career opportunities and a new life as well. In my country, India settling abroad is considered as a privilege and it's been a privilege to become immigrant. However just moving to a different country always doesn't guarantee better lifestyle. But seeing the rising population and high rate of unemployment in the country, young generation prefer to move abroad for employment opportunities.

Canada and Saudi Arabia has been very popular for Indian immigrants in the past few decades. Punjab, a Indian state is very famous for immigration to Canada. The Sikh community in Canada has formed quite a majority of overall population there and lately it has been in the news that Canada is thinking of immigration ban on Indian citizens. Saudi Arabia on the other hand is also providing great employment to Indian citizens, they most work as manual or skilled labour. In the last few decades many Indian have got employment opportunities in gulf countries, especially in oil fields.

Immigration is not always a easy job as it seemed at first. It's not easy to settle oneself in other country and with new people, culture, environment and many other things. Sometimes it's the hardships of people they face at their native places that they are left with no other choice but to leave their country or also flee the country.

Life of immigrants doesn't settle itself after settling in new country. It's just a start to big problems. We all know about the racial discrimination faced by immigrants in foreign country. They had to face constant backlash, criticism from original inhabitants and sometimes goverment also.

Racial discrimination has been around centuries. We all have happened to face it in one way or another. However it's one of the worst social elements that we humans have established in our societies and culture. The constant struggle between the haves and have nots has always been talk of the town. Little are we doing to decrease this never ending disparity. There is much more to learn for nations about wise and equal use of resources. Every and each nation is part of one family that is earth so in a way we all are the citizens of our planet, Earth.
