Hello Everyone, Namaste πŸ™πŸ˜Š

Children acquire inherit traits from their parents and ancestors. However apart from biological or behavioral traits, there are many aspects in which children learn from their parents. Usually as kids we try to imitate our parents.

Discipline

My father is retired from Indian Army. I have seen his soldier attitude while I was growing up. He was very disciplined and organised. Although most of the childhood I had spent with my mother and siblings only because father was on national duty. He used to come home on holiday 2-3 times a year. Those were my favourite days. He used to tell us his life on field. He was very passionate about his work. Even on his holidays at home he used to live with the same discipline as of the soldier. He used to wake up at 4 AM in the morning, go for jogging and walk in fields. He used to do work everyday and his daily schedule was Fully occupied and organised.

I was admired by his discipline and how he do every thing with so much organised manner. Thanks to all his attributes, i too myself acquired discipline from him. I too love to do things in an organised manner, obviously i am not that adamant as I am not a soldier. But there are simple things in our everyday life we neglect due to our easy attitude. Putting a bit of discipline in our day to day lives, such as prioritising important work, doing things in proper order, going to bed early, waking up early in the morning etc.

Even after retirement, my father continues the same lifestyle and discipline in his life. He has a busy schedule everyday as now he spends most of his time doing gardening at home. He wakes up early in the morning, goes for long walk and keeps himself busy everyday. As they say once a soldier, always a soldier.

Gratitude

My mother has raised there children by herself mostly since my father was away from home on national duty. She has been a simple and elegant lady throughout her life. She has done diploma in nursing. But choose to be housewife to raise her children. She is too humble and shows gratitude towards everything and everybody. She taught us to be thankful of all the things we got in every life. Around her i grow up as a humble and tolerant human being. She never let the absence of a father in our everyday lives taking the role of head of the family.

Practicing gratitude is soo important in life because without gratitude we cannot take harmony in life. Gratitude is the key to being positive and satisfied in life. We humans tend to blame others and always discontented with what we have and criticize life for what we don't have. We have been brought up into a normal middle class family, we had absence of many luxurious as well as essential items. But we haven't let this enjoy our life and be happy. My mother used to show little positive things around us and teach us that there are many who wish for the things we have. So we should always have gratitude towards life. I am glad that I am such a positive and satiated person today thanks to my parents.

Anyway Parents try to give their children a best life and all the things which they didn't have for themselves. Truly parents are no less than God on earth.

Wow! This is nice.
I can't imagine myself waking up by 4:00am to do random stuffs when I don't have work for the day. I will stay on my bed, undisturbed untill my body becomes tired. Lol🀣

Nice one

We have a saying monkey see monkey do.

Little kids copy their parents or whoever they are around. Of course as we get older we can form our own traits. There is some truth in the saying, children become their parents!
