Could Creating Polls/ Threads be the Easiest Way of Receiving Upvote?
Following the full takeover of Leofinance by the new interface, threads and polls have undoubtedly been on the increase, probably because Leofinance members and users don't have any other option but to use the new interface to write and publish a post and invariably enjoy and use threads, maybe for the first time.
Definitely, there is no doubt that the monthly active users for this month will have a much higher increase than what was seen last month and can even be the highest so far because the initiation of the new interface left users with no other option but to use it to write and publish a post.
On the other hand, it is a huge sense of balance that the new UI pronounced thread much more, which made users navigate through it much more, maybe because the new UI has a better way of navigating through threads or because of the added features on thread, which made it almost impossible not to use it.
Threads and Polls Drawing More Attention
The above caption could invariably be true because I have come to realize that the more captivating a thread or poll is, the more attention it brings, and this is much more expressed by the engagement that follows the thread or poll. The comments underneath that follow the thread or polls show the difference. Note that in between those polls or threads, there is always a "why," especially on threads, as people would either comment positively or negatively on the thread. This, at the same time, increases engagement, and at the backend, the threader will become more noticeable.
On the basis of truth and fairness, a laborer deserves his wages. Since the thread or poll is engaging and at the same time has an effect on the engagement pattern and growth on Leofinance or other communities, such a thread would be voted on, and some members would follow the users more to see the kind of content such users create. This has already given the user the advantage of having more votes than earlier.
So from my point of view, if a user creates an entertaining, meaningful, engaging and worthwhile poll or thread, there is bound to be a much greater upvotes than usual.
