Continuing the post on how RPG can help you exercise your brain and thereby improve your Creativity, Memorization and References.

Creativity was the approach of the first part, this second will explain about Memorization and the third will be about References.

Each of them is important for you to have a brain with quick thinking, a greater possibility to improvise and consequently create new positive triggers for content creation.

Memorization

No matter how many adventures begin in taverns or in city squares, its history will not unfold only in that place, there will be adventures through other locations in the South, North, East and West. And you need to memorize the places you've been and what was there, as some more experienced masters can make calls between places.

Obviously we can't remember everything, so we wrote down a lot of things in our file that we think are relevant so that it can be used in the future.

To create a publication is no different. Sometimes we are walking on the street and there is an idea of posting on a subject that we do not yet have the complete idea in mind, so we wrote it down so as not to forget. But when we get home and try to put it on paper, something is still missing, and then we try to look for the moment that we start to think about what we wrote down and what we were feeling at the moment so that the idea comes back original.

Right now, we are exercising memory.

Let's go back to our character from the previous post, the elf who did not do very well in the data. At the time of creativity we said that the way out would be for him to have a background story that would help him when some of his skills are not enough.

So the importance of memorization, let's assume that our elf was crossing a mountain when he meets a dwarf, and in the background of the character it was defined that he would know in addition to speaking the Elven language he would also know the language of the dwarves.

Here is a good opportunity to remember that the character speaks more than one language, look at the chart and decide to interact with the dwarf in his language and get information for the game.

If the player is not having a good memory, he will not remember this attribute and will not explore a possible alternative mission that the master has created, thus losing an arc of adventures.

When creating publications, it works the same way. How many times have we forgotten information that we think is relevant and we have to go back to editing our publications. We are still lucky to remember and edit, have you ever wondered how many publications were not edited because we forgot some relevant information and is it forgotten in some corner of our mind that was not accessed due to lack of custom and practice?

The example we gave in the post about creativity about the tavern and how to use creativity also applies to memorization.

Sometimes when you arrive in a new scenario or with many characters, the master usually narrates the environment and who is in it, sometimes citing specific characteristics such as a haircut, a scar or even a style of weapon.

It can often be a new character that he is introducing that will be important in the future, or one that has already been introduced and that is again appearing for a possible intervention by the master in the adventure or the possibility for you to use your memory and remember to interact with him and participate in a new mission.

Our memory when it comes to producing content here, also follows this path. Sometimes we see publications talking about subjects that we always had a mere idea about, and with that memory and the new information that you read the puzzle fits in and you have a new post ready in your mind.

So we can conclude that exercising your memory, whether by playing an RPG, or even card matching games such as poker, can help your brain to exercise and bring you new ideas for publications.

In the next post, I'll talk about the References that the RPG brings.

Nesse momento estamos exercitando a memória.
