Possible Ways To Manage An Egg Glut Situation

The price of things in my country is now every alarmy, from food items to livestocks, gadgets even the little things we need for our daily consumption. There are days I visited the market just to get pepper and is either they told me the price is very cost or there is none available because there are low production, the one that came as a surprise was egg. On a normal day, I love eating egg at leas once in a day and most times I always stock them at home but for a month now, I was shocked when I started hearing the price of egg in market, it first started from a full chicken price that was around 5-6$ turned to 15-18$ in market then all of a sudden, egg price also doubled in price to around 3-4$, I was shocked and I know people behaviour, when something the love double in price and they are not really comfortable with it anymore, they always stay away till the price come down to the normal price.

Of recent while going through Instablog, I saw some updates about the Egg Glut going on and how the poultry farmers were calling onto the government to save them since they are losing a lot and destroying lot of waste egg daily. First of all, I was shocked, the same egg that is wasting and is in excess, is the once that doubled in price already in market, most times when a goods double in price, is it always because the demand is more than the supply and now this isnt the case here, the supply is way more and I saw some videos where most of the eggs were buried after getting spoilt which means most of them are at lose. But what should when something like egg glut situation occur?

The first thing that came to my mind was to first tackle the main problem, whey people aren't really egg which is the high sale price in market, Since there is much egg production which means more supply, poultry farmers should lower the market price instead of allowing it to spoilt and dump them. Since people stop buying due to hike in price, they will always buy if the price reduced, I was still thinking about this when I saw a comment where the association actually prevent them from selling the eggs at lower price, I actually laugh though because lowering the price is the best way to clear this high supply and also make things balance. The egg market can also be diversify, there are lot of things they can actually produce with egg but people never really look into that aspect at all, things like baked goods, snacks, confectionery and even animal feeds. Lastly is to maybe increase the advertising and marketing campaigns so as to promote how importance and nutritional eggs consumption is to the body system, if more awareness are created, there is high probability demand will increase and the glut happening will end. I really wish things get back to normal and the hike in price of things not just egg alone will come back to normal.
