Happy Independent Day To My Country Nigeria

I don't even know If we should be happy or sad, even though my country is turning a year older today, like the country is progressing in years but failing in all other part, I always wonder who really swear for Nigeria as a whole to the extent that too much greed spoilt everything, is not like we never have good leadership in the past but the bad eggs are more than the good ones but even if there is 1 good with 9 bad, it is still bad. If not because I saw some people wearing green and white especially during church service today, I won't even remember today is independent day because there is not reason to especially with the hike in price of different stuff nowadays.

I had to login to twitter this morning, and I came across this tweet in the image above which show a huge change that happened within just 1 year period, from last year independent day to this present moment, the one that actually shock me the most is the petrol price which 3x within 2days, like how can petrol in a country have have petroleum just increase like that, they first said they are removing subsidy complete since they have to use the fund for other stuff (so they say) and that news pump the price to 600+ naira which make things very hard but we have no choice than to keep surviving and recently they add the subsidy back must to regulate the price around 600 naira, it make us wonder why they decide to remove it in the first place and not just let the price still be at 200 naira.

We can't even talk about dollar rate at all, I remembered vividly when it was still 200 - 350 back in the days cuz my first crypto cash was when dollar was around 350, we were still complaining and some people were saying the government were bad and all, but look where we are now, it has also shoot up more than 3x and it will keep increasing because some are already viewing it at 1200-1500 with the way things are going and there is no hope they will bring in any solution soon, this is really affecting everyone especially those earning in naira only, minimum wage is just 33$, no increase in salary yet the daily consumption and price of things is now 3x. We are now just on the surviving mode, but who we are going to run to for help, we all are facing the same predicament.

Well, we still have to wish the country happy independent day celebration while we keep praying things turn out for the best for everyone. Someone even ask a funny question in church today, If anyone listen to the presidential speech this morning, I couldn't laugh out since no one raise up their hand, is like everyone is too busy with things and no one really remember there will be a speech this morning.
