A Secret Friend. #Photofeed Contest Round 72. Portrait Photography

This is our secret friend. He does not know that he is helping our nutritional life. Unknown to most of us that he is our friend. I myself would not have realized this if I didn't look at him and the thought of creating a content brought this to my awareness. There are many of them like this who are helping us nutritionally and health wise without themselves consciously realizing it.

The consumption of fruits and vegetables are helpful and very much healthy to our body. We are always saturated with carbohydrates based food substances at home. Likewise protein based. It does not reflect in our menu list that fruits and raw vegetables such as cucumbers should be on the table for meals. Where do we get the mind to think of that? We are Africans who know just nothing about nutrition. What matters to us is which one fills our stomach and gives us strength to farm and do other hard labors since that is what most do for a living.

My friend in this picture offers a very important service to us in the community. Whenever one realizes there remain a few coins in his pocket to fling away, one stops by his stall to get cucumber or orange or watermelon or apple. That is a waste of money to the typical Nigerian man. So, it is only little left over coins worth wasting carelessly that goes for that. Now eating from my friend's stall unknowingly helps our health. Meet our secret friend.
