Splinterlands' Rebellion Presale is Live

The presale of the long awaited and much hyped latest card set in the Splinterlands NFT game - "The Rebellion," is live. The Rebellion NFT Card set presale started at at 2:00 PM ET / 18:00 UTC on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 in the shop section of the Splinterlands website and will last for 30 days. The Rebellion is the fifth core edition of Splinterlands and it comes with new gameplay elements, card abilities and tactics.

There are 500,000 (500k) Rebellion booster packs available for sale at the release of the set. It is expected that all the booster packs are sold out in 30 days, but if they are sold before then, the presale will automatically end. Whichever comes first will end the presale. Each Rebellion booster pack sold at 5000 Credits or 5000 DEC, with discounts available using VOUCHER tokens, contains five randomly selected cards, with at least one rare card guaranteed.

Striking Features of Rebellion Card-set

This latest Splinterlands card set introduces "Armored Strike, Corrosive Ward, Flank, and Lookout" as four new unit abilities. Some of the Summoners in the card set will be dual-element, which means that these summoners can summon cards from two elements (example, Water and earth, or life and fire, etc) on the same team. Also, summoners in Rebellion feature a new mechanic called Summoner Tactics. This tactics allows players to choose between two sets of buffs or debuffs after both players reveal their teams.

Rewards for Being an Early Supporter

Participating in the Rebellion presale makes a Splinterlands user an early adopter/supporter of the new card set that would be launched into battle later in the year. Each pack purchased during the PRE-SALE phase will reward the player with a chance to receive two exclusive Rebellion promo cards that will NOT be available in regular packs. These promo cards are Mantaroth and Grimbardun Smith. Earning these cards requore the purchase of of 100 or 10 cards respectively. Also, players are expected compete on a PRE-SALE leaderboard ranked based on number of booster packs purchased, to get exclusive rewards. Below are the breakdown of presale rewards for categories of Rebellion buyers.

• Top six accounts on the presale leaderboard (that is, most Rebellion booster packs purchased) will contribute in the design of a legendary Summoner card in the Rebellion card set.
• Top 250 accounts on the presale leaderboard will earn in-game titles based on their position.
• Players can stake unopened Rebellion packs and cards to earn airdrop rewards.

It is a new season of excitement for Splinterlands players. Already, the demand for DEC for the purchase of Rebellion booster packs has surged resulting to a rise in $DEC price to $0.00095. I purchased 2 Rebellion booster packs for 8,000 DEC and 10 VOUCHER tokens and I hope to buy more. My target is 10 Rebellion packs to qualify for the Grimbardun Smith promo card. Let's hope that this opens up a new bullish phase for the Splinterlands ecosystem.
