As web3 space continues to evolve, there is the need to demystify the onboarding process. This is because of the shortage of education, technicalities, account ownership and key custodial concerns. Hive has become the solution, offering a seamless entry point to the web3 world in a fast, easy and feeless manna that can be accessed by tech noobs.

Hive blockchain as a user-centered public blockchain platform is characterized by feeless transactions, decentralized applications, active community, decentralized governance has become a centre for innovation in the we3 space. Present developments allows for onboarding new users through Google and X (Twitter) signup options within 30 seconds.

How to Create a New Hive Account with Google Signup

It is surprising that joining a blockchain where users own their data can be possible in less than 30 seconds. Thanks to the LeoInfra technology that makes this possible, thanks to the Leo Team. Here's How the 30 seconds onboarding via Google signup feels in 4 simple steps:

  1. Visit https://leofinance.io/signup: Go to the signup page on leofinance.io website.

  1. Click the "Signup with Google" button. It opens a query that requests for your username.

  1. Choose a Username: Username for your Hive account must be unique. If the name you type in is already taken, the form would show a red outline. If it's available, it will show a green outline. Keep in mind that this username will be your identity on the Hive blockchain, so choose well.

  2. Verification/Authorization: Click "Continue" and a google authorization page would pop that requires you to select your email which should have been logged in the browser and the email password (if not already logged in).

  1. Account Created: That's all. You web3 account is created on Hive blockchain and that didn't take up to 30 seconds for @domstar.

  1. Start Using Hive: Once your account is created, you can now create your profile, explore and discover contents, join threads and view your wallets.

You would be automatically logged into Leo Threads, a microblogging front of Hive blockchain where you can make your first post of 240 characters max. The post can be text, short video (known as shorts), gif, image, etc.

After the new user has started engaging the community, and earns at least $5 of reward, the new user can now have access to a set of keys (public and private keys). This is to ensure that the user would have learned how to safeguard his/her keys to avoid losing the account

Hive accounts are secured by private keys. When the keys are received, it is the user's responsibility to change and safeguard the keys, as they grant access to the account. There is no key retrieval system and all users are responsible to the security of their respective accounts.

Welcome aboard @Domstar!
