Leo Leaderboard - Catalyzing a New Wave of Engagement on LeoVerse & Hive

Engagement is the mainstay of the Hive blockchain being a social network first, before a cryptocurrency platform. That is, the crypto transactions on Hive leverage upon the social transactions on-chain. Communities and projects on Hive that prioritize healthy social interactions are the thriving. The Leo project which now primarily covers microblogging and long then long form blogging. The LeoVerse exists to democratize knowledge and then, users can access finance through their social interactions.

As a blockchain-based alternative for mainstream social platforms like Twitter, Reddit, and Medium, the LeoVerse also features decentralized Polls as well as serve as alternative to Substack, Google Forms, DappRaddar, Bitcointalk, CoinTelegraph, etc. Pressing on to qualify as the decentralized "Everything App" is the goal and each passing day, layers of developments and improvements are added.

Leo leaderboard is Live on leoverse

During the May Leo Adoption campaign where participating users and communities shared a pool of over $20,000 worth of crypto, The Zealy leaderboard wasa very useful tool that spurred increased engagement. It's time that a Leaderboard is not integrated into the LeoVerse and it would improve the gamification of social interactions in the LeoVerse.

The new LeoVerse user rankings feature which tracks number os Posts, Threads, Comments and Threadstorms created by user as well as the spread of upvotes to reward other users will be the biggest catalyst to social engagement in the Leoverse and on the Hive blockchain. It reminds us of the days of the LeoFinance engagement League pioneered by @abh12345.

The announcement comes with exciting rewards for top ranking users. Unlike curation, every single user has a level playground to rank high in engagement. All that is required is time and a good sense of communication. Within Five (5) Leaderboard categorization and badges, top 5 Lions of the General Leaderboard will get 30 $LEO tokens (each) and The Ten Lions who climb the most spots in the general Leaderboard will get 50 $LEO tokens (each), starting from Saturday at 00:01 to Sunday at 23:59 (UTC).

The New wave of Engagement on Leoverse begins...

A lookup on the Leaderboard reveals some healthy competition has begun and that means thousands of posts, comments, threads, would be committed on the Hive blockchain doxed as transactions. Besides, polls which is reflected on the blockchain as JSON transactions would grow in count. All these numbers mean a lot for all Leo users now and in the future. More engagement means more ads view and that is directly proportional to the ads revenue to be generated and shared back tp the users.

Healthy engagement is key to new user retention. Leaderboards is a seamless way to help new users scale their way to relevance in their respective communities and the blockchain in general. This new development on the LeoVerse would benefit content creators, curators, and all investors in the LeoVerse. As more iterations and gamifications are added to the Leaderboard, the long awaited "community battles" would become a reality. This would open up a never-ending wealth system in the leoverse for all users. I call it the Leo Multiplier Cycle which would bring us closer to the $1 LEO possibility.

The Fun that Comes with Wealth

The other side of the improved engagement envisaged on Leoverse is that every participating user would get richer. Without a doubt, we are getting closer to a season where Hive users can make a living threading only. With @leofinance integrated into Threads curation, some active threaders could could earn between $2 to $5 daily plus the page views which qualifies the user more $LEO rewards.

Taking advantage of this new addition to Leoverse would require a user buying and staking more LEO token which are discounted presently. At 5 Cents and below, we are back in the early days of LeoVerse in March 2020 and just a few weeks away from the new price level of the $LEO token.
