Four Years of Engagement in the STS Community and with $SPORTS Token

Thanks to @hivebuzz for reminding me that my engagement of the Sports Talk Social (STS) Communitystarted in August 24, 2019. Account Created 2019-08-24 06:52:00. It was opne of my first investment push in the Hive blockchain after I had discovered the Sports Talk Social Tribe and the $SPORTS token. I needed an account I can track all my engagements and with the SPORTS token, hence, I created @uyobong.sports.

Reminiscing the journey thus far is with mixed feelings. A positive feel because of the consistency and the outcomes of that single investment decision which opened me up to more of the business part of Hive blockchain at the instace of layer 2. A negative feel is because the STS community has failed to be where it should be in value and utility. There lies a lot of potential in the SPORTS tokena dn in the STS community due to what sports represents in our economies. Obviously, no other sports community is thriving on Hive at the moment and this makes the STS community still very relevant.

Rising from Zero to close to 100 million SPORTS stake was not a mean feat. It was a combination of hard work of engagements with posts and comments as well as hundreds of $HIVE pumped into the $SPORTS market. My long term for the STS is still in the bunker or at best could be trasferred to another sports community on Hive that is ready to build.

While many complain about the poor tokenomics of the SPORTS token, I also share the sentiments and hope that a new token can be created with stats a a decimal of the present SPORTS supply and distribution stats. Also, the wallets of SPORTS stakeholders can be snapshotted and the users be rewarded with a percentage of their stake in the new token (still as a stake). It could drive up the SPORTS market while also creating room for healthy competition between the two sports community.

Reaching 293 posts, 1134 comments and 404 HP Author rewards has been a lot of hardwork. This is in addition to the millions of SPORTS trded in the hive-engine markets. help me celebrate this seemingly little win that is just a basis for future.
