Comparing Being An Entrepreneur With Working Class

avatar

Good day my wonderful people, it has been long I posted here but am fully back now with my spirit and body LOl.

Resently, I started comparing my business life with my then office work, A alots of question came to my mind and I was just wondering if this my business will help me achieve all My goals or I should quit it and look for a good Job, I began by asking myself the following questions: am I progressing in this business, does this business pay me more than my job? Should I start searching for Job again, can I go far in life with this business etc.

Since I started this business, I have been hustling to have all the customers demands as the business is so vasatile and I didn't start it with enough capital, I always fell bad each time customers comes to buy a particular goods I suppose to have in shop but I will tell them that I don't have,so all I do is to sell and use all the money to stock back the shop with goods again.

How my shop looks like when I started the business.

So February this year, I looked around and see that there is goods in my shop, i decided to place myself on a monthly salary and I started by writing down all the profit I made at each close of the business, at the end of the month, I paid myself 70% of the profit I made and use the remaining 30% to stock my shop with goods again, I did it on February, March, April, May and I was enjoying it as my shop kept increase even though I was removing some money for my Salary.

The picture of my shop presently.

On reaching June, everything changed, market was dual and there was Low in sales so at the end of the month, the profit wasn't encouraging and I couldn't maintain the salary instead I used all the profit to stock my shop again, July is almost half and the profit is still small as market is still dual, I am afraid that what happened on June will still happen this July and I don't like it, a question came to my mind and I was just wondering how employers use to pay their workers salary when there is less profit because my target is that I will be an employer one day and I will not like to owe my employees salary.

Please I need your advice here, I still want to maintain the salary am paying myself and I need an advice from fellow business tycoons on how to go about it.

Thanks for reading, your advice is welcome.

Your shop is growing, even though there are dull market currently, the current picture show how much your shop has grown. It's also good that you are paying urself salary but maybe you reduce the 70% to 50% profit until you stand firm
All the best @uchechi123

Enough capital to start a profitable business is always a challenge, but I will say you should not give up, keep pushing. Are you into hair or just selling wave-on? If not, I will suggest maybe you should learn how to be making hair, that way your income from the shop is diversified and with time you can be making more profit.

I will suggest you should be making use of Google doc from play store, to help in editing your text for better quality content.

😊😎🤜 Aloha! I think that it's awesome that u have started and run your own shop. I have never had any kind of physical biz yet. I do want to try that in the future..

One hard thing is keeping stock and maintaining.. Good Luck to u in that. I'm sorry that I have no experience in that one..
