Shaping the Future of Blockchain Education.

I was with the founder of Broadmeans, Ms. Sally a few days ago. Broadmeans is a local crypto and blockchain educational centre that has educated over 1,500 people on blockchain and crypto in Nigeria.

I started Broadmeans with her in 2019. I helped out in building the syllabus for the course and how to take people from zero level to hero in blockchain and crypto education. The aim is to educate people locally about Cryptos and blockchain and every aspect of it, such as DEFI, METAVERSE, NFT and other components.

Our discussion was about how we can educate more people on Cryptos locally and drive more Nigerians to stability through the diverse technology of blockchain.

We discussed the negative sentiment of some people and the government about blockchain and cryptos, mainly because of the bear market. There were a lot of memes because of how people lost money to cryptos and a lot of rigid people are not willing to learn about the technology even if the lectures are free.

However, most of the problem is still a lack of education. A lot of people jumped in to buy cryptos with no prior knowledge and that mostly gets their fingers burnt. There are people who do pump and dump, shillers and these are people that are giving temporal values to bad projects that make people lose money.

Our discussion goes down to creating blockchain educational materials in English and other local languages so that everyone in the country will be able to have access to it and understand the technology.

We are all looking at the time when we have a billion users of blockchain technology, but without quality education, this will not be possible. There are many aspects of the web3 technology people can occupy. Developers, miners, Traders, NFTs, Meta, Gamefi, DEFI and others. All of these need education.

More important education.

Finance is not part of most of the curriculum in school, but it is most important in life. It is easy to make money than to sustain money. Sustaining money is about knowing what to do with the money you have. There are many people that made money during their careers and today they are broke because of a lack of financial education.

Sally is looking at incorporating finance education along with blockchain to impact people positively.

Leofinance has been a home of finance of different aspects based on real people's life experiences. These are parts of the education we need to become stable.
