A few months back, when I was still at minnow level, I went on my first Hive whale-watching 🐳 excursion, perusing the stats and wallets of various well-known whales (I suppose that 'well-known whales' is rather redundant, as there aren't many of them), and I remember being very surprised at what I found. Today, now at dolphin 🐬 level, I went on my second whale-watching trip around the Blockchain, and not surprisingly I was just as surprised at what I found this time. From these whale-focused Blockchain journeys, one thing has made itself glaringly obvious to me. Just because someone has a large amount of Hive Power or a high reputation, it does not at all necessarily mean that this individual knows how to manage or leverage assets well. That blows my mind.

I notice that that there is often little to no focus on HBD in Savings, which is wild considering that with the present 20% APR huge profits could be made over time, especially taking into account the resources that are available to allocate on these whale accounts. So much benefit to themselves and others could be created by a more effective focus and use of HBD in Savings.

Most of these big accounts also have surprisingly little focus on layer-2 tokens. Yes, they often have huge amounts of a few, but many of the very notably excellent tokens are completely absent, or present in very small amounts. This is also pretty crazy to me. Again, with the resources available, reasonable allocations to income and multi-use tokens would yield excellent benefits over time.

Even though my account is still minuscule when compared to these whale accounts, I think that my assets are generally far better allocated, and that when I do reach these levels, that I will be in a much better overall position on the Blockchain, able to do more, both for myself and others. I look forward to proving my assessment to be accurate.

On the topic of layer-2 tokens, I've been making a mental list of what I consider to be the best ones on the Blockchain, and I'd love to hear your perspectives and input. My focus has always been on the income tokens (dividend-paying and miner tokens) and what I've come to call the multi-use tokens, like ALIVE, that do many things and fill many roles.

After more than two years of watching and using lots of tokens, I have a list of some of the ones that I've found most useful up to this point. I'm always open and happy to learn about others!

What are the best tokens on the Blockchain?

Let me know your thoughts! I know that there are great tokens that I don't know, or those with which I don't yet have a lot of experience. If there are other solidly excellent tokens, I want them on my list, and in my wallet!

Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House later than I had hoped, a little after 3:30PM, after my afternoon found of essential Hive tasks. The cool, cloudy, and sometimes rainy weather was less than ideal for both taking photos and working on the land, but I did my best with what I had. Before starting land work, I took a round of photos for this post. My first and only land-work task for the day was to collect two wheelbarrows full of Melochia leaves and cane grass with my machete for cow-milking food. I really wish I were able to get more done yesterday, especially paid nursery work in Ano's nursery, but it just didn't flow unfortunately.

When I finished collecting cow food, I strained out kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, made myself food, got food for my kitty friend, then I headed back to the Flow House for my evening round of Hive tasks and catching up on notifications. I was able to get everything on Hive done just after 12:15AM, definitely later than I had wanted, but at least I got it all done. I did a quick round of token management, then I went to sleep very soon after. I slept really well, super thankfully, waking up around 7:30AM again, doing another round of token management, then a little catching up on notifications, before finally getting out of bed just after 8:30AM to go make my superfood fire coffee.

The time is now just before 1:15PM, so a very good time to end this post, so that I can get to my afternoon round of essential Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House in the later afternoon, to take photos for the next iteration of this post, and then land work.
