I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #473 - My New Hive Engagement and Growth Secret - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Sunday, November 12, 2023

I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

I have a secret. Given that this is Hive, and everything here is transparent for all to see, it's not really a secret, but it's something that might not have been noticed. What probably has been noticed by my fellow hivers/hivians is that I'm pretty tippy top regarding engagement, and that my account has been growing quite quickly. While a good portion of this is nothing new, as I've been solid with engagement and account growth for a good while now, there is something new which has catapulted me to a whole new level.

What is this secret to my notably increased engagement and growth?

To put it simply, @barski. There's a little more to it, but he's the key. How you might ask? Well, he runs three daily photo contests (monochrome, landscape, and dewdrop), and when I enter them, along with receiving lots of tips, I find myself engaged in voluminous and fun threaded conversations with him that continue for quite some time indeed. Remember me mentioning that I've been buried in notifications for a few weeks now? Well, it's in large part because of @barski's great many comments and replies each day that this is the case. It's a good thing, but it's very challenging to stay caught up now, I'll say that!

Ecency is the second part of this equation. Since I use Ecency for most comments, replies, votes, and reblogs, I've been in the top ten, and usually in the top five, on the Ecency Leaderboard for almost a year now. As soon as I began entering @barski's three photo contests, and engaging with him in our string of comments and replies, I was blasted to the #1 place on the Leaderboard, and I've stayed there for the entire time I've been interacting with him.

The third component of this is that @melinda010100, who has been tracking the top engagers on Ecency for quite a while now, has also recently begun to reward those in the top ten with HIVE, ENGAGE, and HSBI, depending on their placement. The top three receive 3 HIVE, 100 ENGAGE, and an HSBI share. Everyone else in the top ten receives 2 HIVE and an HSBI share. All the HIVE that I receive from being in the #1 spot on the Leaderboard gets saved, and then powered up on #HPUD at the beginning of each month, which I've been able to do going on three months straight now.

So there you have it! That's my new secret to engagement and growth which has so dramatically shifted my Hive experience! For anyone who'd like a boost to his or her engagement and growth, I very much recommend joining @barski's daily monochrome, landscape, and dewdrop photo contests, and to use Ecency (either the app or the website) to do it. I told @barski that he's going to be a very buzzy Hive bee once more people discovered his contests. Depending on how many people decide to take part, he may get a run for his money!

My Sunday was, as most Sundays have been lately, mostly Hive-focused, with the early part of my day being devoted to getting important Hive tasks done, and of course, getting as caught up as I possibly could on my notifications, which dipped into being two days days behind. Very thankfully, after many hours of focused work, I was actually able to get to within 6 hours of being fully caught up. I did take a short break to take photos for this post, strain out kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, make myself some food, get food for my kitten friend, before doing a thorough round of token management, and then beginning the long process of compiling the data for, and then writing, My 76th Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update: 3/3 Weekly Goals Achieved, and HP Delegation Percentage Increased!, which because I was able to begin so early, I was able to publish just after 10:30PM, which is notably earlier than previous weeks. I did another round of catching up on notifications before finally going to sleep around 12AM.

Thsnkfully I did sleep well, waking up around 7:15AM, and immediately beginning a round of token management, and then completing @benthomaswwd's @heartbeatonhive contest (which is another that I'd recommend joining), before getting out of bed just after 8AM to go to make my superfood fire coffee.

It's now just past 1:30PM, so a very good time to end this post, so that I can get to my afternoon round of Hive essentials, and to catch up on notifications as much as possible, before going to do land work later in the afternoon.
